That Skylynx character is pretty cool. I'd like to see a Universe/Classics 2.0 version, but I'm sure there's like a thousand things that take priority.
Anyway, Leader Brawl found at TRU. I've now officially closed the book on the movie line. :)
Big thanks to FX for hookin' me up with movie concept Camaro Bumblebee.

This is easily the best movie toy I've seen yet. The transformation is clever, with some really neat auto-morph stuff, and the sculpt looks fantastic. Only complaint is that two yellow plastic bits on his shoulders tend to pop out if you push on 'em. Otherwise, a great toy.
How much is that Bumblebee cost?
$10 I think.
Or one Classics Starscream :D
I found the talking 20th Anniversary Movie Prime at Wal Mart the other day. It's so big and awesome, but I can't drop $80 on a TF.
It was still $80? I thought Walmart were clearing them out at rock bottom price.
Same pics as in the Haul thread:

How much was Skywarp, btw?
Middle finger to the Lord, nigga grippin my balls
BTW ... that Skywarp is awesome.
They were. Then the movie came out.
Anyway, here's something some of you may be interested in:Hmm... I'd get the Barricade set if I didn't already have him. I'd like the Shia & Mikaela minifigs, but not enough to pay the $12-$15 I'd imagine these sets are gonna run. This is probably good news for those of you who haven't found a concept 'Bee, though. Well, if you don't mind the ugly grey plastic.Quote:
4 New Deluxe Scene Battle Sets (Including Humans!)
Thursday, September 13th, 2007 4:05PM CDT
Tformers.com has gotten a hold of some images of 4 new Transformers Deluxe Battle Scene Sets.
These are the sets:
Desert Attack:
Repainted Scorponok figure with 3 Soldiers
First Encounter:
Original Barricade figure with Sam, Mikeala, and Frenzy figurines. It is unknown if the original Frenzy figure will be included or not. It appears there is something inside Barricade's chest though.
Capture of Bumblebee:
Repainted Concept Camaro featuring grey robot parts, rather than black. Includes 2 Sector Seven SWAT team members and 1 Special Agent
Final Stand:
Includes a Longarm Tow Truck figure with what appears to be a legless Robot Replicas Bumblebee.

Also WTF
Local Wal-Mart got in four more 20th Anniversary Primes today, price jacked back to $70 confirmed. Also they all have messed-up chest panels. WTF Hasbro.
I have had a 20th Anniversary Prime since they first came out.
And seriously WTF with that Megatron rerelease being sold on Wal-Marts page? Isn't it illegal to sell toys that that closely resemble guns?
They're also obscenely overpriced.
I just saw some of the 20th Prime yesterday for $50 at my local Wal-mart. The one I found mine at a while back had dropped them to $35 - I could always go check to see if they still have any at that price.
The wal-mart down the street from me has about a dozen of the 20th Primes in the clearance section. They were $50 a few days ago and today they were $70. I thought stuff on clearance was only supposed to go down in price, this is the first time I've seen something go up.
UPDATE: I managed to fix my problem. Taking a tip from another Transfan, I picked up some jewelry cleaner cloths from Wal-Mart for $5 and got rid of the tarnishing spots on Megs feet and spine as well as providing a protective coat. It looks just like new again. :tu:
It looks to me that Walmart was tired of seeing the demand for TFs go up, while their shelves are empty. The local one has been getting in a lot of pre-movie overstock and selling it at full price. They have very little movie stuff, but they do have lots of Anniversary Primes, Primus and Metroplex (cybertron line?), and classics Jetfire and Prime.
I'm really tempted to buy all the Jetfires and ebay them, but there's a part of me that thinks that it's just wrong.
Scalpers = Suck
That's proooobably why you feel wrong about it.
I saw one deluxe brawl today for 40. Anyone want it?
You mean Leader Brawl, right? $40 for a Deluxe is just crazy. Especially a sucky one like Deluxe Brawl.
they had had two huge ultimate bumble bees too.
The Transformers collectors' market has gone to shit (probably like most other collectibles). I hardly see anything new in stores because scalpers would buy all the inventory. I refuse to pay more than MSRP for domestic releases. If I don't get it, I don't really care, there are tons of other figures to buy.
Pretty much. That's why all the Bumblebees were gone. It's a popular figure (if not THE most popular) and scalpers follow the fansites like I do so they know where to find them. There are reports all the time of people coming upon people with all the figures from a particular brand in someone's shopping cart.
From now on, I'm not paying scalper prices on ebay....I cut that out a while back. Don't support them but sadly, there will always be that person that *HAS* to have a particular figure or say the parent who wants to get something that a child requested, like to reward them for good grades or even a B-day gift or something of the sort.
Went to a couple of Targets this weekend and saw a bunch of Ultimate Bumblebees, a couple of the Deluxe Brawls, and white a few G1 redeco Jazz. I picked up Jazz even though I know it's not that good of a Transformer--it's a'ight, but I mostly like the coloring :)
And yeah, fuck feeding scalpers.
Was at Wal-Mart yesterday and the shelves were bare as usual. Oh, except for the two $9.99 Concept Bumblebees.
The Ultimate Bumblebee looks nice, but not $79 nice.
The Ultimate Bumblebee is just too big for my taste (for Bumblebee).
Exactly. Waaay too big. Nice idea, but he needs to be about 1/2 the size he is now for me to even consider getting one.
That reminds me of the gigantic Starscream we got a few years back. I bought it but returned it, it was way too big. All I wanted was a Voyager-sized version.
Better pics of the first round of Allspark Power deluxes... Cliffjumper purchase confirmed, I'm not sure about Camshaft (I really like the mold, and the car form looks great, but the robot form, with the wine-colored bits... not so much), and I'm gonna wait for reviews on Landmine, since the "off camera" molds have tended to suck, except for the ones from the first wave.
Looks like we'll have another chance at some of the rare Classics - it's lame that they've broken up Magnus and Skywarp, though. Rebuying Prime and whoever they stick Skywarp with (if they even do) is gonna hurt.
LOL @ Aussies. Sucks to be you. :p
Finally, a couple better pics of the upcoming Animated voyager Starscream.Quote:
TRU Australia selling Movie G1 styled Jazz for $49.99
I'm definitely getting that Cliffjumper but he will remain in Car Mode.
That Starscream needs to lose the Thundercracker coloring and Jay Leno chin.
There is a God after all. I finally found a 20th Anniversary Prime that's completely satisfactory. A few imperfections that you have to really be looking to spot (the chest panels are like half a millimeter off from lining up just right), the legs are willing to collapse, and the cab doesn't lean to one side in truck mode.
Now if only this one had been there when they were $45. :/
Oh, and picked up the Target-exclusive "movie" scouts Armorhide (Cybertron repaint) and Elita-One (Energon Arcee repaint). Probably the best paint jobs these two pretty good molds have ever seen.
Unlike the rest of the Star Wars TFs line, this looks fucking awesome.
http://tformers.net/g/albums/Star_Wa...nsformers6.jpg
I particularly like the cape. There's just something awesome about giant robots with capes, and the wings-standing-in-for-a-cape on the previous Vaders didn't cut it.
Its just so cool. And its fully posable. The added bonus is the soundeffects in the right arm.
It's recognizable as Vader, yet it also looks like an authentic Transformer, enough so to blend in with other large-scale TFs, whereas the other SW TFs mostly don't fit the TF 'style' and just look like generic (not to mention badly designed) mecha.
I've never liked any of the SW/TF's, but this one is just so ........ BAD.ASS!
Hey! That Vader is....dare I say...AWESOME?!
Something Star Wars related that's not awful? How novel.
Very good news.Quote:
Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron To Be Re-Issued

Takara has announced that they will be re-issuing Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron due to the popularity of the figure, BigBadToyStore tells us. Pre-orders are now open for $99.99 and will arrive sometime in December or January. Joel says that pre-orders to their Japan distributor will need to be placed within a week. If you were holding out and definately want one, pre-order now. Remember that prior to shipment into the U.S., BBTS adds a blaze orange cap to allow for the figure to be legally shipped into the states.
Hmm, in the comments on that article, someone says BBTS doesn't glue in the cap, but the preorder page says otherwise. Can anyone confirm one way or the other? I really don't want the cap in there permanently.
After researching by way of teh googles, it seems BBTS does indeed glue in their plug, BUT it can be removed by heating the barrel with a hair dryer and then pulling the plug out with pliers... sounds risky to me, plus it still leaves a glue residue in the barrel. I'd rather bypass this issue if at all possible; has anyone dealt with Ages Three and Up?
Action-HQ is also shipping them unmodded, but they're based in Hong Kong, so the shipping is probably obscene...
Finally found a concept Camaro Bumblebee today. It's great, on a whole other level from the other disappointing movie figures.
The movie figures are about 50/50 imo.
I am now the proud owner of Concept BB.Its is glorious.
i have only delux figures and everything looks so scaled.
i got Barracade and BB side by side. realy cool.

Did you find him at your job?
Here's some useful info:The rumors in that thread are that MP Starscream will show up at Walmart either in conjunction with the DVD, on/after October 24, or - and pray this one is wrong - on Black Friday.Quote:
I found the UPC number for Starscream! We can now have Wal-Mart associates check for him!
6 53569 27551 0
I got the information from this picture: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ckaging_07.jpg
BBTS got in "a small number" of Classics Magnus vs Skywarp for $44.99... wallet rape GO!! (At least it's better [and cheaper] than supporting an eBay scalper.)
Looks like the metallic Voyager-class Ratchet and Megatron are exclusive to Best Buy of all places; they'll go on sale alongside the DVD, with a savings of $5 if you buy the DVD and one of the figures. A movie Megs that actually looks like it should is too tempting to pass up, though I'd rather it be the Leader-class. Pass on Ratchet though, it's a so-so mold and the G1 "Rescue" version is plenty.
That's awesome.
So is this.
Saw Darth Vader Death Star, damn it is huge.
Yeah, I won't be re-buying any I've already got, but a decent paintjob could persuade me to pick up Starscream and Leader Prime & Megs.
I don't have Leader Prime, actually. Maybe it's a good thing I waited on him. The rest I can do with the regular plastics.
So it looks like the Japanese release of Classics Megatron may be repainted in a G1-accurate color scheme. Pretty sweet, but $43 plus shipping is a bit too steep for one voyager, plus they might end up pulling the same orange plug crap as with MP Megs.
In related news, the Japanese release of Ultimate Bumblebee will apparently feature die-cast parts and higher quality plastic, making it in effect "Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee".
Picked up a Final Battle Jazz just to do this to him:Quote:

Nagis, that's one of those things in which you have to just act like you didn't read anything.
In other Starscream news/rumors, depending on how well toys (especially MP Prime and Primus) sold at your particular Wal-Mart, you'll either get or you won't get the MP Starscream toys in stock.
That's going to make it even harder to find. If you see one, snatch it up without question, because once this run is done, it's done.
Also, if you see an extra one, keep me in mind. ;) Pick it up for me and I'll gladly pay you immediately.
Lots of Landmine pics... I'm impressed how detailed the mold is, but as usually, it's ruined by dull unpainted grey plastic. Im'a wait and see if they redo him as part of the Premium line.
Also, more Real Gear Robots announced... and lol, they're all repaints. The red cell phone looks really nice, though.
Another asian market exclusive that you have to buy some expensive unrelated product to get... and again, it can stay that way for all I care. God that's ugly.
Yeah that looks atrocious. Who is that supposed to be. I dont remember any pink jets in the decepticon ranks.
JBNagis
It is Arsecream.
lol canada
Called one of the store back home early Sunday morning, they had 6 'Screamers. I had them hold one for me and sent Dad to pick it up. Time he got there that afternoon, they were gone except for mine.
What state are you in, Gas? I'm just trying to see how close Screamer is to my state.
EDIT: Also, my request still stands. If anyone can pick up a Masterpiece Starscream for me, payment will be immediate.
I am raiding Walmarts tomorrow, if I see an extra I will pick it up for you FX.
Thank you, man. I appreciate that. This shit is taking it's time getting around the U.S. Fuck those ebay scalpers.
EDIT: Don't look for one for me anymore. I caved in after possibly missing one today at Wal-Mart.
Oklahoma (where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain). "Back home" = Tulsa, present location = little nowhere town near the four-state border, where the local Wal-Mart won't get Screamer if your info is correct (they've still got 3 DVD Primes and 6 Primuses).
From the tfw2005.com boards:
Quote:
I posted this in the trade thread, but I have it on good authority that the east coast will be seeing a lot of these show up over the weekend as part of the big toy aisle resets. The figures are being shipped packed in with the big display assemblies, and not in the standard 3-per case shipping cases. Should show up with the Sunday reset, may show up earlier or later depending on when the stores get them opened and set out.
They need to quit BSing around because everyone wants Thundercracker and the Soundwave/Grimlock rumors to be true. I like the Masterpiece line, but they keep doing RERELEASES of old things. Fuck.
No need to look for a Starscream anymore. I purchased one already from eBay.
Fucking scalpers, but I'm tired of looking around town here, and I think I just missed one today.
$72 shipped isn't too bad, but the uncooperative Wal-Mart associates made my decision that much easier.
No luck at Walmart today... went to 2, nothing is good in there but they have a ton of those Cybertron Metroplex (WTF). Seriously, this exclusive shit gotta stop.
Yeah, it's supposedly making it's way around this weekend....but consider the time and gas I burned trying to find this thing. I can take a $22 hit. Getting to the Wal-Mart that will most likely carry him is a 26 mile round trip. Enough of this exclusive shit.
I hope I find one for my boy, though. He's a great guy going through some financial shit, so I'm still going to call around to find one for him.
I don't think 72 is such a bad deal. I was actually in Walmart thinking about that yesterday, a package that large probably would cost 15-20 bucks to ship.
My store didn't have any, but there was a HUGE amount of freight they were putting out, so they may have some now.
I decided to paint my Leader Class Megatron and Brawl since I've seen so many other repaints that make them look so much better. I'm not quite done yet, but they're at least 95% done.

Wow, great job on both of them. I hated the Megatron but yours is 100x better. Now I want one but no time to paint :(
the movie megatron really is a retarded design. Like a flying rock lord
Movie Megs is Megs-in-name-only. Even if he's not gonna turn into a gun, he needs a bigass cannon bolted to his right arm and his signature bucket head. It's too bad they've already had a Decepticon turn into a tank; I think most fans would have accepted it.
Anyway, a couple of eBay auctions have popped up with prototype images of animated deluxe Bumblebee and Prime. 'Bee looks great, but I think I'll pass on Prime unless the final product is A LOT better.
megs should be an anti aircraft gun or something like a ww2 era rail gun. Or fuck, hell make him a missle truck and let the tip come off the missle to make his gun.
It isn't hard hasbro, get with it
Fuck, of course the MP Starscream gets released while I'm on Vacation.
It is very hard to find so maybe it is better not to get frustrated.
bigbadtoystore is selling MP Starscream for 95 bucks. alittle much if you ask me. I'm gonna keep searching.
