So I awoke this morning to discover that my $2000+ bike was stolen last night. The lock was still locked on the rack, so it is beyond me how the hell they got the bike off. Anyways, I reported it, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
Anyone else have something of great value or meaning stolen from you? This is really the first time I have had anything of value stolen, if not the first time something has been stolen from me period.

Right before I went to Japan for that year, somebody broke into my car. Took my MD car stereo, and various video game accessories I had in the car, including the needed items for the Famicom Disk Drive I had just sold over ebay.
I think that's about the worse I've had, except for more minor things, so not too bad.
Someone stole my MP3 player right out of my locker a few years ago in High School. How they opened my lock is anyone's guess.

I got really drunk about 4 months ago in the centre of Paris, and ended up taking a random metro into some really dodgy area.
When I got off, some guy took my D500, and I got a taxi home.
My parents weren't so pleased at 2.30 that night...
Someone nabbed my car stereo one night when I was parked at my house. I live out in the boonies too so it was pretty wierd. They hit up my neighbor's house and stole his 4-wheeler though, so I got off easy in comparison.
