MSN keeps adding random people to my contact list

I used to use it... I had too many incompatability issues though. Then they had me beta test their product, and it would crash EVERY time I installed it, so I gave up. I've heard it's much better now, but I don't feel like paying again.

And Brisco, don't you have to approve the contacts being added?
I do know if you use Trillian at all that you shouldn't try to use more than one msn account. that's bad news. Unless you WANT your girlfriend to know you have a secret second address....not that this has ever happened to me.

One guy I approved because I thought I knew who it was. They said they didn't send the request that I authorized. Another guy just started talking to me.

Well either MSN got hacked or you did.

Fuck.

I wouldn't say you got hacked, but MSN's servers are just being screwy. It's happened to me before. Don't sweat it.

Did you leave yourself signed in on someone else's pc?

I used to use GAIM, then Adium, which is based on GAIM, and now I use Microsoft Messenger, which isn't the same as MSN messenger.

I wish google would get their app out on mac.

Personally, I choose to keep MSN off by going to preferences and unchecking the box that says "run at windows startup".
