It would be impossible to resist a 'Vania collection then. Even a screwed up 'Vania collection would still be better than a lot of stuff out there though. Konami pulled off some great emulation with that GBA collection, so I have faith in them being able to do something on this scale.

As far as I know, they've done three stand alone GBA Metroidvania games, and an NES Collection shovel of NES Castlevania... am I missing something?

I'm referring to Konami Collector's Series: Arcade Advanced, which was released a few years ago, and then re-released in the past year or so with new, blue packaging.

That wasn't emulated.

Actually, the Famicom Disk System version predates the MSX version by a month. :p Castlevania has always been an NES-bred franchise from the start.

It wasn't. It was released in Europe though, where they got Akumajo Dracula (as Vampire Killer) and the original Metal Gear.

I'd been calling for a Castlevania compilation for years now, but none never materialized. Thankfully it's no longer an issue, just do it yourself. Make your own Castlevania collection. OMFGPIRACYOHNOES.

It's not so much a Castlevania compilation that is in demand, but rather a properly localized version of Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (Dracula XX doesn't count)

I take it that most of you got that crappy nes castlevania thing on the PC right?

I wouldn't mind seeing the NES games given the Super Mario All-Stars treatment at all, as long as the original versions are included as well.
