Man, I'm so glad I finally know who made Gitaroo Man. Now I can be their fanboy.

I would love to appreciate the fuck out of this game, but I'm not paying ebay prices for it. They need to rerelease it.
The demo was good, don't know about the game ;)Quote:

Go to Japan. You can get Gitaroo over there for like $5, just as I did.
Here's my official rundown of non-Bemani music games:
PSX
Bust a Groove 1 - Awesome, but desperately needs ability to randomize patterns.
Bust a Groove 2 - Crap.
Superstar Dance Club - OMGWTF a ParaPara game in the US?! Kinda fun, but not overly great, but it was super-cheap ($10) and makes a great obscure title to have.
Parappa the Rapper - Wonderfully charming, and great music, but a bit too unforgiving when it game to the difficulty. Not as good as...
Um Jammer Lammy - Totally under-appreciated. Gameplay flows much smoother than Parappa, so it plays a lot better. Add in multiplayer and unlockable Parappa, and call it a winner.
Vib Ribbon - Rocks your socks. AWESOME soundtrack, and the ability to use your own CDs is great. Simple concept, great execution.
PS2
Technic Beat - Fun, cheap game, but feels a bit shallow, and needs better music.
Unison - A game that likes to rape you in the rear unless you're going to spend a lot of time with it. Interesting concept, but maybe a bit too hardcore in the execution.
Parappa the Rapper 2 - Still need to play. I hear it is but a shadow of Parappa 1 and Lammy.
Frequency - Haven't played.
Amplitude - Haven't played.
Britney's Dance Beat - From the people who made Bust a Groove. I hear it actually is a decent game, and I still mean to play it.
Gitaroo Man - Just got it recently, but seems like a really good game.
Dance Summit 2001 - A sort of "sequel" to Bust a Groove. Haven't tried it myself, but heard it wasn't too hot. I believe it is four players at once, though.
Space Channel 5 - The way to go, because you get both games for cheap.
Mad Maestro - Seems okay, I guess. Played it a bit, not too impressed. Has a bit of an unusual style of gameplay.
Dreamcast
Cool Cool Toon - Haven't played it enough yet.
Puyo Puyo DA! - Meh. Really only has one great song to it, and it feels too much like a cheap clone of a number of other music games.
Space Channel 5 - Fun games, but feels like there isn't much to it once you've spent a decent amount of time with it. Polygon characters + pre-rendered backgrounds do not mix well in this attempt. However, I <3 Ulala.
Space Channel 5 part 2 - Everything the first game should have been - feels much more complete and developed.
NintendoDS
Ouendan - Owns you FTW.
Jam with the Band - Eeeeh. It's okay. Probably more interesting for more "serious" musicians.
Electroplanctin - Haven't touched it yet.
What am I missing?
I suppose In The Groove and Pump It Up, both of which are excellent but not quite in the same musical genre as the above.Quote:
