The huge map crossing jumps aren't related to host, that's just fucking crazy nonsense glitching. Once I jumped across all of coagulation instead of assassinating a guy going for the teleporter.
You need host to grenade jump, though.

I'm thinking more about those situations where you kinda dash forward like ten feet or get a bit of air when you are hitting someone above you.
That's a glitch people found out about and then subsequently ruined the game IMO. Luckily thats around the time I lost my LIVE account.
edit: Swoard glitch. Get a zoomed weapon, zoom in, switch to sword while sword canceling and blamo ... dash.
I also know of the SMG infinite ammo glitch. - this one I found on my own.
And I wasn't around for the patch. So all I know is from my experiance from when I was last on Opaque. I just know of alot of people who hated it when people would constantly use it.
BTW ... I was not attacking Halo I love Halo. I was trying to define J2D's unknown glitch. geez.
I meant that the weapons aren't especially balanced more than the game itself.
For example, there are as many games that have health pickups as not at this point. Neither is more or less played out than the other.Quote:
Tired new school conventions? I'd love to hear what those are.
The level design is shit, but if you throw enough people in there it'll be action packed. The levels in Halo don't work at all for low player counts.Quote:
Compensated for by high player counts, what in the hell are you talking about?
See this is where I know you A) don't know anything about Halo, and B) that you haven't put enough time into the game to make a worthwhile decision about the level design, or gameplay balance for that matter.
Halo is far more balanced, and really meant to be played as a 4 vs 4 game. Which is why 90% of the game types in Halo are 4 vs 4 game types. Not only that, some of the most fun to be had on the small to mid sized maps are in 2 vs 2 games.
Halo's actually one of the best series in the genre for 1-on-1 versus too. I have to disagree with Frog here.
I always had fun playing Halo(series) multi. Lan or Live. Until the glitches were discovered and every 8 yr old snot nosed brat started to use it. But then again if you know how to over come that ... the game is still fun.
