It's not so.
I heard Halo 3 has code in it to steal childrens souls.
man, i've been thinking about the bubble shield, its gonna completely change this game. bubbling people in snipe points or turrets, or even someone spamming grenades. I think its gonna balance out the sniping / rifling with the smaller weapons a great deal. I wonder how it will affect vehicles...
My experience was entirely different that most people's. I literally had 16 friends who carted 4 xboxes and 3 extra T.V.'s over to someones house and had about 2 years of Halo 1 16 player matches, with 8 people in the living room and dining room, and 8 people in the two bedrooms on sidewinder playing capture the flag games that ran all night.
IMO, the maps are superior, the balance in most cases (obviously not the pistol) are superior, and the pace of the game are superior. But I got to play them in situations for longer periods of time, than most people did.
Halo 2 to me represented something I really didn't care for, the Counterstrikeization of Halo, which the whole reason I really dug halo in the first place was that it wasn't trying to be the twitch and your dead shooter, it was trying to be something far more methodical. It took me months to figure out why Halo 2 irked me so much until I realized, it simply wasn't really Halo. It was a Halo themed game, that added all the dimensions of every PC first person shooter out there and in the process killed its own pace and mood, (if not killed buried it so far underneath everything else that it was unrecognizable), as what I remembered from the first game.
The fact that bungie did ridiculous things (like encourage bug exploitation, and encourage nubcomboing) in ranked matches, really didn't help the situation.
So to sum it up, I'm one of the few who really didn't care for the fact that Halo decided to be more like every other FPS than Less like every other FPS. Apparently though, I'm outnumbered.
I completely agree. The items themselves are going to completely change many encounters in the game. Though there is only one on the map at a time, there are going to be a ton of different situations that will be completely changed by the inclusion of one small item into the game. And I feel it will be for the better too.
On top of the bubble shield, there is definitely a personal grav lift, which depending on how the maps are designed could make for plenty of awesome strategies. And there is at least 1 more item called Power Drainer, which like in the Joystiq walkthrough of the Zanzibar map, could be some sort of EMP device that drains shields, which could be really fucking awesome.
I really hope there are more then 3 items, maybe 5 total? I would enjoy that very much.
They show trip mines in one of bungies videos, they blow up a warthog (and the person deploying it).
They need to fix his throwing arm for part 3 though.
I think I read that Sigma actually does real 1080p at GA. I dunno about "crazy talented" though, last gen sure but so far they haven't been that impressive. The doll look is pretty meh, DOAextreme (or wtf it's called) run at 30fps and NG Sigma has some bad textures as well as screen tearing.
