I read some shit on NeoGAF that said that Major Nelson reported a delay until 11 AM PST, but seeing as how Major Nelson's site is down I can't verify it. Obviously I hope it's not true.

The Major Nelson thing wasn't true, but there are still problems, obviously.
I get the feeling that the actual Crackdown code might be fucked up. Hope it doesn't require a software update to get the beta available.
As long as they have it fixed by 6pm I will be happy.
Crackdown asked me to update this morning when I booted it up around 7 eastern. I was assuming it had something to do with the H3 beta.
Have you guys read about how the saved films work? Bungie did an ingenious thing and saved all the data of a match. So instead of encoding a round as WMV, the game just replays the data to recreate the match. This is how you can view the replay from any vantage point. Most impressive, Bungie.
And I can't believe they're releasing the game in September. I would assume another November release date, as it would have given them six months to improve the graphics and the single-player mode. Hope they can pull this off in four months.
