New Living Dead movies?

Saw a commercial on the sci-fi channel the other day about these. I know we have more than a couple of zombie fans on the board, so there ya go. They are showing both on the same night on this coming Saturday.

Part 5 is called "RAVE TO THE GRAVE" - If I dont see a tranced out zombie with glow-sticks, breaking it down, I will be displeased.

YellerDog has a point...I've never really watched any of these movies except Return of the Living Dead (which I saw when I was 5 and had me wacked and scared out of my fucking mind until my teenage years) and I always wanted to see the newer ones but never saw them at Blockbuster. I love George Romero's work, but the Return Of movies seem to be in a completely different vein and direction.

Hells yeah. Return of the Living Dead is my second favorite zombie movie ever. Tar Man is like the coolest zombie ever. Plus you get the classic "send more cops" line AND the naked zombie punk bitch. I made my boyfriend watch that movie a couple of weeks ago, and even he liked it (he hates horror movies).

Return of the Living Dead has nothing to do with George Romero, actually, so fans wondering why they are so different, there you go. The first was really good, the 2nd was more of a comedy if you're into that kind of thing, and the 3rd sucked ass. These 4th and 5th installments have nothing to do with the people involved with those, and they were anounced FOREVER ago.... it's the same production company that made "Day of the Dead 2" so I have little hope for them. Also, Creepshow 3.

I didn't re-watch Return again until I was close to 16. It still scared the fuck out of me. I was at my grandfathers house and I worked up an elebarote plan of how to get back to the room I was sleeping in from the living room without having to be in any area without any lights on until the end, where I ran as fast as I could. Closed all the windows and slept with the light on. It was a much better reaction then I had from the time I was 5 (when I first saw it) until I was about 12 where I would lay in bed every single night certain I was surronded by zombies all night. I dared not open my eyes or move at anytime, hoping they would think I was dead and would ignore me. I occassionally would piss myself too because I was too scared to get up and go to the bathroom.

It wasn't until I saw 28 Days Later in the theater and conquered my extreme want for leaving the theater when he first walked into the church where all the dead bodies were that I conquered my zombie fear. Within a year of seeing 28 Days Later the second time I wandered through the woods behind my friends house at night and alone, armed to the teeth as well and claimed over 100 zombie kills that night.

I've since been completely devoted to my certified zombie hunting profession and have pursued nothing else. Zombie Hunters Digest has nominated me for "Most Effective Undead Killer of 2005".
