Because it's RCA, and a piece of electronics is more than just its feature list. There are other DPA manufacturers I'd be willing to trust, but RCA isn't one of them.Quote:

You can still sync the songs on USB 1.1, it'll just be slower. Basically a gig every 20 minutes.
Looks like I'll have to buy my gf a usb 2.0 card.
At least they're only ~$10 at this point.
I'm probably way behind and everything, but something I found a couple weeks ago that might help those of you with one of these: Videora for iPod. It automatically encodes whatever video file you toss into it into iPod format, with different settings for audio and video quality as well as cropping and ratio formats. I used it to toss Advent Children onto the iPod at my job and it did a beautiful job, much easier then trying to set up Tmpgenc or whatever.
Awesome, I'll give that to my gf, well maybe I'll do the conversion on my comp since she has a fucking dino.Quote:

I was hoping the Videora program would help my friend, but I see it's a Windows-only application. Oh well.
I'll let you guys know if he's successful in his attempt.
I'm not sure if this will help, but I came across Handbrake during my initial search for an encoder, which is a DVD->mpeg4 ripper/encoder that works on Mac and Linux (but not Windows, so I haven't tried it yet). I have no clue about DVR compression though.Quote:
