Dragon Quest 8

Don't worry - I'll squeeze in some precious time with DQVIII. I went to best buy and EBgames and the pre-order things said they're getting it on the 23rd. I could see best buy getting it then, but EB usually is jonny on the spot with those release dates. Yet online EB and gamestop say the 15th. I'm confused. I guess another week wouldn't be a bad thing, since I have more time the week after anyway.

I'm currently at lv33 and 45 hours in. Hopefully I can finish the main quest in another 10-15 hours, then move onto the bonus stuff. I love this game!!

It really doesn't take that long once you get hero and Yangus to have the 2nd crit-hit skill from the Spear job, then go use it against a bunch of Platinum King Slimes at the spot.

The Square Enix site shows the release date in North America as November 15th. I would expect to see it this Wednesday. The strategy guide is already out (as is usual - they are always out early). Our local Gamestop had it out on the counter this past Friday...

DQ VIII, Magna Carta, and Wild Arms Alter Code F all out on Wednesday. Lotsa hours in them games...

And be warned, unless there was some major issues fixed I heard Magna Carta is a bog of glitches.

I heard it was the PC version that had glitches. At any rate, I'm over 25 hours in (American version) and haven't encountered a single glitch. It's fun, with a really complex battle system, but that does prevent it from being immediately accessible.

one more day. i wish i could've taken wednesday and thursday off, though.

Technically two more days because the ship date is the 15th so the stores won't be getting it till Wed. Unless the motherfuckers go cheap on shipping and get it on Thurs instead. Pretty busy week, with Magna Carta, Wild Arms, and Mario Kart. DQ8 is all I need.
