This isn't mine. Mine's dirtier, with a few scuffs and (tiny) dents from bad people who back into my car and drive away. (I HATE MANHASSET!) But it's the same color and model.

I agree. That's why I only wear Chucks when I'm not going out for long. Sketchers are pretty comfortable. So are DC shoes after breaking them in.
DC's fall apart super quick though.

The last couple pairs of Vans I've tried one were complete shit. They were way too narrow for me to wear. My feet are on the wide side, but wide width shoes are generally too wide. Vans were just right for the longest time, and not anymore. It's pretty frustrating. I have a pair of DCs that I beat the hell out of and they've held up decently, been back to wearing my old Converse Weapons lately and I have a pair of Nikes that fit okay for running, not tha I've done that in a while.Quote:

Not this exact color, but close. Gas Mileage sucks (15.2MPG) but she's a torque monster. I had 80 14"x14" patio blocks in the bed and it didnt even phase her.
Plus a kickin' rad stereo with MP3, and XM Radio.

It's my dad's truck, but I practically daily drive it. Enough power to merge onto the highway. Having a manual transmission makes it a lot more enjoyable for me.

I have a '94 Ford Escort (from my dad's girlfriend when she got a new car) that is GARBAGE. No heating or AC, dead speakers that just rattle, the back set is all messed up, and the trunk doesn't open. The driver door has different trim than all the others, due to an accident and no identical replacement being found. It also has over 200k miles. Gets good mileage though (~25mpg) and it still runs 100%, but it looks like junkyard shit. It's that awful 'Sunset Red' almost-pink color, too.
Only valuable thing in it is the Sony CD player that she got as a gift, but with bum speakers, there's not any use for it. I'm sure it's worth more than the car itself.
Funny though, I still don't have my driver's license. Hell, my temps expired, and I only ever clocked 3 hours on them that whole year. My dad's girlfriend's sister is driving the car now since her truck is broken.
Fuck the SVT Focus. It is dumb, like all Focuses. Focii? Whatever. They're stupid. I drove a couple and I did not like them. The ZX5 is alright but it's still a shitty car. Now, Contour SVT is pretty badass. Not V6 Taurus SHO badass, but it's a really cool car. I'd still like to have one someday, but probably not as much as I used to. I have a 2000 Contour Sport, and I've had minimal trouble with it, and most of the trouble I've had with it has a lot to do with drunk drivers running red lights and plowing my car off of the road while turning, smashing one of my rear doors in and coming within feet of killing one of my best friends! And then the cop writes his inaccurate report without even getting his fat fucking pig ass out of the damn car and absolutely nothing happens. I fucking hate people.Quote:

That's not mine, but it's a picture.
Mine is the 2005 model, british racing green with a white roof. 5-speed manual transmission. 35mpg. With 130-ish horsepower, this thing is a beast. The acceleration on it is actually pretty bad, but once it gets going it's fast. For anyone planning on getting one: don't get the sport seats. Uncomfortable little fuckers if you drive for more than an hour.
I love Mini's. I think that I could definitely live with one, even a regular model. Well, that would be if I didn't just get the car two posts above. :) I drove from Orlando to Jacksonville at 75-80 mph, and still managed 35 mpg. I love its transmission... It's great shifting gears in a car after driving a pickup for so long.

How is the milage compared to the xA? (I can squeeze 40mpg out of my xA if I really want to.)
I typically got about 28mpg out of my xB. My current hyundai which both weighs more and has 30 more horses gets about 31mpg. So yeah, the fact that that thing is a completely unaerodynamic box is a big set back in the gas department.Quote:

I almost got an xB. I went from a Rav4 to an xA... it was a bit jarring.
The xA is strangely enough, pretty roomy inside. The xB must be like a fucking cave.
It's huge - I'm 6'2" and my head is still like a foot from the roof when I sit inside. Compare that to my old Civic where I basically had to kick my seat back or stick my head out the sunroof.Quote:

My first real project car. Body is in terrific shape, paint needs help, and some stuff needs to be put back together. 2.2L Turbo, 5 Speed, leather and power everything. Some minor mods and it will be in the neighborhood of 250 Hp at the wheels.
Plus, next year, I get to throw antique plates on her. :)

Test drove a Scion xB today. My car's been getting less and less reliable every time I come home in recent years, and it's getting to be more trouble than it's worth. This might have something to do with the fact that I've abused the hell out of it. Anyway, I'm probably not going to be in the market to buy until I graduate, but I fucking loved it. Handles great, tons of fun to drive, and the interior feels like I'm hanging out in a van. Owning one of these cars would make me a very happy man. I can't wait til that day comes.
I was able to drive my sister's fiance's STi today. Coming from my SVT Focus (and pretty much everything else I've driven), that thing is a monster.
My Civic. It gets me places. I hope to replace it this coming year with a Prius or maybe one of the new Civics.
I've got a Focus, complete with custom installed PSOne LCD Screens and a PS2 :P
Anyways, it's 5 years old (complete with three recalls) so I am really in the market for something new. Think I might trade it in for an xB. I test drove one and loved it. Tons of room inside and nice handling.
How does one go from a focus to an xb and think it has nice handling? The focus is an excellent handling car, the xB is... not.
The xb does have nice handling when you're not comparing it to any thing. I do agree though, the Focus has excellent handling.
How did you install your PSone screens? In the headrests? I've got 2 that I got for $13 and was thinking it'd be cool to put them in the xB.Quote:

The difference is mine has a huge dent in the right rear door where some schmuck backed into it at Wal-Mart, and a bunch of scratches along the top right where I slid off the road and went under a barbed wire fence.
