Just watched this episode. Impressions:
+/-
+Strong storyboarding.
+Clear action direction.
+Rasta Joker is different enough to be distinct.

-'The Batman' is a huge tool with no personality. MORE THAN NORMAL OMG
-None of the cop characters had any personality, either.
-The "Joker's Mind" sequence was really plain. Like, stupid plain. "I know! Joker's idea factory!"

Looking for the others on Torrent Spy.

I agree about the cops. But the black guy becomes Clayface. Yin doesn't get much better, she's always on the fence or over emotional but acting tough or whatever the hell she is.

I'm not sure if the Joker's mind sequence was what I liked. It may have been the Mastermind episode. Anyway, I stick by it as one of the best cartoons on television right now.

No. I didn't say that at all. I said it was different enough from the original to distance itself from it and therefor I like it based on some great animating and technical directing.

He looks crazy. The longer hair and more animalistic look is what all of the villains are totting and I dig it. They LOOK like crazy mastermind villains in the liberal sense, which does directly contrast with what we have before and I find it refreshing and good. The way the Penguin uses his umbrella's as weapons is insane, and a lot more interesting than the old Cobblepot we had before. Not only that, but they actually use Alfred a lot to help out Batman, which I like.

You can say you don't like it because of the new design and style, which is fine, but to say it's bad quality is just bad judgement.

Anyway I agree with you on the Batman. It's a great show that's even better if you don't compare it to TAS. Probably the best DC show since Teen Titans is dragging right now and Justice League has yet to impres me with the snippet they showed of this season.
