Jarhead
I can't wait to see Jarhead. It comes out next week (I think it does, atleast) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx as marines and soldiers in desert storm. I think the main attraction for me is the photography direction of the movie. It looks like it delivers a really great perspective about soldier life in a unique way, which interests me.
Anybody else out here decide to take a break from slashers and video game adaptations to see this?

I feel like it's one of those movies that's going to be awesome, but the trailer really wasn't that great. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but I got excited about it anyway. I'll probably see this before I seem Doom and Saw II, anyway, assuming Doom is even still in theaters when it comes out.

I've been looking foward to this for a very long time. If Saw II doesn't end the string of horrible movies I've seen recently, this will for sure.

Looking forward to this. Sam Mendes hasn't let me down so far.

The TV spots for it are really good. Makes me want to go see it.
*But, I will just wait to see what TNL says first, then catch it at the dollar theatre.

Also starring Peter Saarsgard. I think he played supporting roles in The Salton Sea and that journalism movie w/ Hayden Christiansen. I am definitely gonna go see this.

I'll have to check this movie out when it hits the history channel.
And don't even kid yourselves, cause you know it's going to be "soon".

The book was pretty good but had a lot to do with whores, STD's, parents, sex, fighting, etc. I think the movie will probably mostly be about the war, though they might change some things to make it more exciting (because a good deal of the war was a little boring for the author, he was angry that he didn't get to kill anybody). It still looks like a pretty cool movie, I'll definately go and see it as soon as it comes out.

Isn't that the kid from Donnie Darko?
