Anyone stock up on Tamiflu? Is a global population reduction good or bad? Who will live and who will die? Are you secretly hoping that someone you know will die from it when it strikes us? Could celebs die from it?

Really? Why are you so sure? Perhaps you have some anti-bird-flu gene, you don't know that. The problem with dying in great numbers is that no-one will remember you specifically. 'Oh yeah, I had a brother once, he died in the big pandemic of 2005'.

What I think is the worst thing is that a Swiss company refused a Taiwanese company the rights to produce the anti-biotics, although I think they ended up making it anyway. I'm not sure what happened with that now, but the morals of that Swiss company is awful.

So last year, i almost died right around January 1st. I don't know what it was. I was throwing up and diarheaing everywhere. It was gross. I fell asleep on the bathroom floor cuz i was afraid i'd be sick away from the toilet. Then i passed out in my bed and when i woke up i was rilly weak, like had to crawl to my car. Probably wasn't safe for me to drive. Then i went to Target and got some Gatorade to replenish electrolytes and stuff and drank lots of liquids so i wouldn't be dehydrated. The next day i went to Thailand Café in East Village and ate half of a lunch special, which is usually about 1/4th of what i really want. I was weak for a week, hardy har!
So, the point is, we're all going to die of something. You don't want to, so try not to, but it's going to happen so you shouldn't worry too much.
The sequel- My poop was like coal black for a few days afterwards. I still can't eat my old favorite at Quiznos. :( Never again.
