Welcome to the world of Animal Crossing, where you can do anything, go anywhere and live your simple little life without a care in the world. In Animal Crossing, your goal is simply this - to live life according to your rules. There is no "Colossus" to smack down and there is no specific "thing" or item you are looking to obtain. Animal Crossing encourages you to play without any real meaning or rules.

September 16, 2002: Animal Crossing for the Gamecube is released in the states. Word of mouth had been spreading, and the game was receiving uniformally impressive reviews. How could a game about nothing become so wildly (LOL!) popular?
WTF? All you do is fish? Catch bugs? Pull weeds? Lame total hella, right?
Three million+ people around the world vehemently disagree with you.
Animal Crossing is a game about nothing, and yet - this is the games real appeal. You can come home, grab a snack and just chill out digging up fossils, running errands and custimizing your town to your liking. Do you enjoy custimization and item collecting in your gameplay? This title has something for you. Do you enjoy interacting with your friends and trading items (along the lines of Pokemon)? Give Animal Crossing a shot. This game has something for everyone, and in one month, Animal Crossing: Wild World comes out on December 5, 2005 for the Nintendo DS.

Animal Crossing: Wild World is the proper evolution of the Animal Crossing series. No longer are you bound to the confines of your home. AC: WW is the sequel to the smash hit Gamecube game, and now - it supports online. Remember thinking how cool it would be to interact with your friends village without having to trade memory cards for a few days? This game is essentially Animal Crossing GCN in your pocket, and that is all you'll ever need to have a ball in your newly developed town. Commonly referred to as "Hello Kitty meets The Sims", AC: WW encourages you to hop online, make some new friends and get creative! There are a million different things to do, and a million different people to interact with.
This thread is a means to trade items with fellow gamers, set up times and dates for rendezvous with friends and chat about your experiences in the AC world.

Animal Crossing on the Gamecube was one of my favorite games ever. For a little over 9 months, I played this game at least three hours a day. I would log on each morning, afternoon and night to check on my little town (named 'Pallet' at the time) and converse with the local towns folk. Never before had such a simple game grabbed my by the oranges and made me its bitch. For seven months prior to the games release, I would read the IGN Cube Animal Crossing Diaries like it was a religion. I logged on to the forums (which shot to the #1 spot on the IGN boards) to chat about the game and read descriptions on each item and character. This game took away close to a year of my life, and it was well worth it. ^_^

So lets get the hype train rollin', guys! As long as you don't chop down *all* of my trees or steal any of my belongings, feel free to drop me an invite and see what's up in my village! I'll be playing every day for like... ever, so if you want to stop by and trade some items or set up a time to hang out, let me know.
