New York suggestions?

Hey folks, I am taking a jaunt over to NYC this weekend, and I was wondering if you can give me some suggestions on places to go from the standpoint of a rabid video game (esp. Pop'n Music)/anime freak. Any cool stores, arcades, exhibits, that kind of thing. I already have all the regular stuff planned--just need to know where to find the good stuff. I will be in the Times Square area. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, especially places to get cool import game/anime merchandise...

Arcade: Chinatown Fair

Stores: ToyTokyo, St. Marks Games (MM 1.0), Nintendo World Store (if you're really bored)

East Harlem
South Bronx
Bushwick

Japanese books, origami paper, etc. Very large and usually very
busy. Japanese tour buses stop here because of its proximity to
Rockefeller Center. A bit expensive but much better than any other
Japanese bookstore in New York. Sun-Sat 10AM-7:30PM.

They supposedly have really awesome pizza. If you go to New York or Chicago you have to eat the pizza. Is this a lie?

Also, try to get mugged. Their muggers are world famous. Walk down back alleys, travel alone a lot, and wear nice suits in seedy looking parts of town to help the process along. I'll never forget that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer "mugs" George for the New York tour bus service.

For pizza, go to Lombardi's. Otherwise, take the train to New Haven for Sally's, Pepe's, or Modern. :)

Yes.. this man shows wisdom. I also welcome you to my hometown of the Bronx. Its a wonderful place..filled with gangs, drugs, urban decay and other such joys. I welcome you with open arms.


I would add Spanish Harlem to that list so that you too can be tortured by the garbage that is Reggaeton and Spanish Rap.
