So I'm starting to look into this concept. Do any of you guys have some podcasts you recommend I check out?

I doubt you're into this sort of thing, but there's some great podcasts about Vedic Mythology at Puja.net.

Though that is most likely not what you're looking for...
What is a podcast?
I R teh n00b
A couple of daily shows I listen too are NewsReal and Free Talk Live. Alot of "podcasts" (which are just RSS feeds with an MP3 audio attachment aggregated with one of the various programs available) are just pointless drivel. I find it interesting that corporate America has jumped on the podcasting bandwagon so as not to lose too many people to independant media.
Seriously though, the independantly produced shows I listen to keep me sane in this crazy world knowing that there are others who see things in a somewhat similar light.
NewsReal is a M-F news show with from an anti-corporate moderate political viewpoint. There is a "podcast" link, but the archive has been taking a few days to get updated lately so I use this archive which is updated automaticaly daily.
Free Talk Live is a Monday-Saturday 2 hour Libertarian syndicated radio show that puts up commercial-free MP3's and also has an rss feed available. These guys have some odd beliefs but are entertaining none-the-less. Plus, if you are so inclined you can stream the show live and call in on their 800 number and talk about ANYTHING you want live on national radio.
Radio Lazlow is pretty good, they put up MP3's and podcast on Mondays (the show is from 6-10 Sundays on K ROCK).
Theres also some interesting (and crappy) shows at PodcastAlley.com and HackerMedia.org.
I watch "Tiki Bar TV".
I also listen to the Mark Hoppus podcast. So far I've found two worthwhile bands to listen to.
Note: Motion City Soundtrack is not one of those bands. Fucking complaining all the time and shit.
http://www.75minutes.com/ is a podcast I enjoy.
I listen to the 1UP Video/Audio podcasts, the Orange Lounge Radio podcast and now the Gamespot podcasts.
I listen to some podcasts that are sparse in updates (sniffle)
Industrialradio.org, Def jux podcast, mashup.org mashup of the day podcast, Die Warzu just started one and I hope it updates. Grooves magazine's podcast for IDM/experimental electronic music.
Def Jux has a podcast? Awesome. I will look into this.Quote:

Gamespot's podcast is a pleasure to listen to each week. Relatively intelligent and pretty damn funny at times.
GameSpot's podcast, 1up's audio and video podcasts, Major Nelson's podcast (Xbox), and PC Gamer's podcast are good for videogames. This Week in Tech and Diggnation are good if you're into technology and the like. Channel Frederator is a really cool video podcast by the creators of some of Cartoon Network's original cartoons, and it offers free cartoons by indie artists.
Was it you or the other Andy that recently won an Xbox Live headset on Major Nelson's podcast last week?
I could have sworn you are Andy787...

listen to the dr karl show. For an hour, people ring up and ask anything science related, often retarded shit, and Dr Karl does his best to answer them. I listen to it live every thursday and its a highlight of my working week.
I've found a load of new podcasts based from a indie radio station in San Fran. I found it cause they have a tigerbeat6 podcast and I dig that record label owned/run by kid 606.
They have all sorts of different music speciality shows and podcasts for free. Linkie link!
