Pranked Another School For Our Traditionally Football Game
Yesterday was BGD (Beat Glendale Day). Every year Glendale High School plays Hoover High School. This football game tradition has been going on for 47 (maybe 46, not sure) years now. Also, ever year, each school plays a prank on the other school. So my friends and I pulled off one of the greatest pranks ever.
We had planned our prank for weeks. Each school has a letter on a jill closet to them. They have a big "G" on a hill close to them and we have a huge "H." Now, most of this town is Armenian (this language is spoken in a couple countries if I'm not mistaken, and those countries are Armenian and Iran). However, this part of Southern California (Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, etc.) has many Armenians in it. The point is, our prank was to add a "7" beside their "G." In Armenian, the way you say 7 is "yot." If you want to say faggot in Armenaina, it is "gyot." So basically, G7 means faggot in Armenian. However, we didn't make this up. People in this area have known about G7 for many years. So if you are Armenian and 13-30 years old, you'll most likely know what G7 means.
A couple days ago we made the 7. Some of members of our group (not including me) checked out the "G" and whatnot and we planned everything. So we got up at 5:00 AM yesterday and went. The hill we had to climb was very slippery because it had rained on and off the day before and that night. It even rained a little bit while we were at the "G". Coming down, we cut off the net and we ripped out all the wodden sticks on the ground that help the climb before much easier. We recored most of it and took many pictures. Once I get the pictures, I'll post them. When we got back to school, everyone was chanting "G7! G7! G7!" Everyone knew what it meant, and the cool thing was people that weren't Armenian asked around and found out. A few hours later, some guys went to see it, and they called me and told me they took down the "7." Later that night I spoke to my friend's girlriend (she is a cheerleader for GHS) and she said ASB went to take it down.
I missed all my classes but I got on the list to be excused because I helped out with our senior skit, which turned out great. We won it (although senior class always wins it, but still).
We ended up losing the football game with a score of 35-14. I think their prank was during the game, sometimes we could hear their cheers on our side of the bleachers. If that was their prank, that was very pathetic.
In the end, it was one hell of a day. We are school legends and I'm pretty sure this will go down as the greatest school prank in history. I don't think anyone will ever be able to top this.
