Try playing KoF XI or any Capcom game, then take KoF '97 for a spin. It feels you're playing under water; there's so much resistance.
Sure, '94 and '95 are generally better games than '99-XI, but they just aren't very responsive. It's even more apparent today than it was then.
They did it with KOF XI and NGBC, so why assume they wouldn't here? Removing progressive scan modes and somehow adding slowdown to NGBC that wasn't present in the original version is classy stuff. Fuck SNK USA, I can't wait til their shit starts coming out on PS3 so I can pretend there is no North American branch.
They also took out filtering and color edit mode for this game, btw. Big surprise.
