Bush's Veteran's Day Speech: What did you think of it?

What did you think of the President's speech? Do you feel that the President's speech did a good job of calling out the politicians that supported invading Iraq, looking at the exact same intel that Bush had, and now claim Bush "lied"? Are you more confident now about our progress?

Hey cool, that speech took hundreds of millions off the US national debt, restored relations with alienated countries and brought the thousands of dead back to life. Nice.

Michael Moore was tasteless when he talked about the war at the Oscars. The conservatives were right about that.

Bush is far, far, far more tasteless for using Veteran's Day as an excuse to get on his soapbox and talk about bad intel, politicians who oppose him, and other such issues. He has every right to talk about those issues, but not during a speech that was supposed to be about honoring our veterans. Talk about spitting in their faces. "This day was supposed to be about you guys, but you know what, I think I'll talk about my own political issues instead with only the most tenuous connection to who I'm actually supposed to be talking about KTHX." I can't imagine anyone, liberal or conservative, who cares about our veterans who wouldn't find this in completely poor taste.

You're suprised that Bush would use something to futher his political agenda? Next, you'll tell me he's a liar.

C'mon now. Veterans should be thanking Bush for helping to replenish their numbers.

I can't see a more fitting way to honor our soldiers than by defending their honor on Veteran's Day against the mob of elitist, America-hating revisionists that have been trying to portray them as monsters killing Iraqi civilians and their mission akin to Vietnam in futility. People are protesting at dead soldier's funerals, college campuses everywhere are filled with spoiled teenagers running around fantasizing that it's 1969 and that their meaningless lives have purpose because THEY know that America is the scourge of mankind. I don't see how Bush could properly speak on Veterans Day and not address Iraq and the state of our military operations thoroughly. You honor the soldiers by talking about the great work they've done and continue to do despite the media in our own country obfuscating their progress completely from the public, reporting on only the progress of terrorists.

Does anyone here still think Bush "lied" to get us into Iraq? I'd be happy to provide a mountain of evidence that he didn't, can you produce one shred of evidence that he did? It doesn't help your case that most Democrats voted to invade Iraq using the exact same intelligence that Bush had access to.
