Not true. It depends on the Model and who writes the software.

I have an MPX-220 running Windows Mobile 5.0 and T9 is a way of life on this phone.

Yeah the new phones have a "learning" t9 program. very cool.


At least those of us with cell phones that don't have a keyboard can text just as fast.

Motorola have been too cheap to license t9 for most of their products, instead they made their own 'itap' software. I opted to turn this off and type manually.

I have a Motorola and sometimes it gives you "options" of words, but most of the time, I just type it out... it's faster for me that way (I know my alphabet, so I can type fast).

Just buy a treo.

Am I the only one that likes iTap? I don't think it's bad at all. Beats typing everything manually!

glad to hear it, the most obvious advantage i can see is the not having wait when you type in double letters. Also i love the avatar :P that guys made me laugh pretty hard :P

if youre doing double letters you can press the over key to instantly advance the curser so you don't have to wait...
