I was watching PBS on a special for this guy about his life and music, well they were asking for $150 in donations just to order this cd.
Now I can understand when a station needs money, but seriously WTF!??

PBS donations/rewards are insane. $300 canvas bag. $200 VHS tape.
$80 for John Devner's greatest hits.
They just want high donations. The shit they give are suppossed to be like free gifts for giving money. You're not giving them money for merchandise. They could definatly be offering better shit for that money though, would probably get more donations.
Oh yeah, you should have seen how crazy they went when Ann of Green Gables was playing. Fucking VHS sets went past $500.
That's another thing, get with the fucking times PBS. VHS? It'd be cheaper to make DVDs anyway.
I'd donate for a Bill Nye complete series DVD set.
I'd pay money to PBS (well, probably not) if the programming wasn't so crappy. My grandma does, though, so we're even.
See? Give good shit and more people pay attention and give coin.Quote:
