I don't get what peoples beef was with this game. I thought it was an addictive extremely playable old school 3D shooter. Sure the controls seem a bit strange and would most likely alienate most casual gamers, but to me it's a rather intuitive simple control system after about an hour or so of playing. The structure of the game may seem repetitive for some but to me the structure is genious, I've come back to this game many a time to aim for high scores and betters times. It goes back to the times when games were a simple and addictive experience and not an epic 20-30 hour borefest that a lot of todays modern titles can be. It doesn't deserve some of the low 5's it got.
Title: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Community Says: Doesn't stick to the series roots/Instant Flop
My Score: 8.8

All I ever hear from the mouths of gamers these days about Warrior Within is "Oh it doesn't have the same atmosphere or looks as SoT therefore it sucks!" the looks don't bother me at all, all the gameplay elements from the first game have been modified and tweaked to make gameplay a much more fluid and playable experience. Despite the darker look all the levels were just as well, or even better thought out as SoT. It was a great game despite the unsightly Godsmack soundtrack. Too many people judge the game on the cosmetic changes and not on the system tweaks. Although the atmosphere of SoT is gone it isn't a failure, it's still a good addition to the series.

I must be in the gaming minority here that enjoyed Killer7 immensely, Not only did the game play in such a way that anyone could get into it, but it also looked unique and was pretty clever in which the game implemented politics and various other modern day references/philosophy into it's story. The gameplay was on the rather minimilist side, kinda like a 3D online rail shooter/adventure game, but this just urged me to play the game more, and of course the presentation and the whole premise of the game just helped enhance the experience even further. If your looking for a game that's completely different and more complex (narratively) than any other game on the market then I urge you to at least rent it.
Title: Starfox Assualt

My Score: 7.9

I don't think that this game is nowhere near as bad as some people say. Sure it's a little bit broken in some areas, but much like PNO3, it's a pick up and play game. And the on-foot sections which people complain about so often aren't actually that bad if you put a bit of practice into it, it's a fun accessible arcade experience that rewards the player for their persistance, that is, if they even manage to put up with the initially niggly on-foot controls of the second mission. At the right price it's actually a good game, and lets face it, there are games that are a lot worse out at the moment. The flying sections are worth a half price tag alone.
Title: Dynasty Warriors 5
Community Says: Repetitive/Short Lifespan
My Score: 8.0

I actually liked what I played of this game, I heard so many bad things about this game but when a good friend of mine brought Dynasty Warriors 5 round for a co-op session I was actually quite surprised, the game is a lot of fun despite what people say, and the tactical planning between the menu and gameplay actually looks rather deep despite what people say about the game being repetitive and too simple. It's a great mindless action game. Makes a nice change from the tactical games these days. When the 360 version comes out I'll be buying this for sure, but until then, let the good times roll with the extremely fun co-op element of the game.
