It's Bowl Season!

The bowl games are all set!

The Rose Bowl
USC (12-0) vs. Texas (12-0)
Pasadena, Calif.
Jan. 4, 8 p.m. ABC

The Orange Bowl
Penn State (10-1) vs. Florida State (8-4)
Miami, Fla.
Jan. 3, 8 p.m. ABC

The Sugar Bowl
West Virginia (10-1) vs. Georgia (10-2)
Atlanta
Jan. 2, 8:30 p.m.

The Fiesta Bowl
Notre Dame (9-2) vs. Ohio State (9-2)
Tempe, Ariz.
Jan. 2, 4:30 p.m. ABC

That's how the major bowls shape up. My picks:
USC (12-0) vs. Texas (12-0)
Penn State (10-1) vs. Florida State (8-4)
West Virginia (10-1) vs. Georgia (10-2)
Notre Dame (9-2) vs. Ohio State (9-2)

I hope USC loses. I absolutely hate Pete Carroll, he does not deserve to make history. They are a completely classless football team. I was disgusted watching the UCLA game this week. USC was going for it on 4th and 10 repeatedly when they already had a 30+ point lead. And what the hell was with the psuedo-onside kicks every time? If a team tried to show up another team like that in the NFL they'd start getting thier asses beat. I was waiting the whole game for UCLA to start taking cheap shots at Leinert and Bush and was genuinely surprised they didn't. Lucky for Pete Carroll. And furthermore, a souless school like USC doesn't deserve to win. I was at the pep rally thursday night and it was such a disappointment. No one was excited, no good speakers, not even Carroll. I'm not even sure the football team was there, i think it was only the practice squad that showed up.

Take away Reggie Bush and USC has 2 or 3 losses. If they beat Texas he is why. But i still think Texas has a great chance at taking them down.

I'm rooting against Penn state just for anti paterno backlash. I'm sick of hearing about him.

WV and Ga i really don't have an opinion on.

Wow, Notre Dame got into a BCS game again by having more fans than the other teams. Here's hoping this trip turns out just like their last one when they got throttled by Oregon State.

All I remember is 41-9 and all their fans could ever talk about leading up to the game was how good their turnover ratio was over the season. I believe that's what it was, anyway. They are about as deserving this year.

Both loses were by only 3 points, one of them to USC. The nearest anyone's come to beating USC since thier streak started. At the time they lost to Michigan State, State's offense was one of the hottest in the nation. ND's defense is suspect, but the offense is terrific. Hate all you want but they are one of the best teams in the nation, they deserve thier bowl game, and there is 0% chance they will lay an egg in Tempe.

ND is going down to OSU.

I'd say they're going to get destroyed but Tressel doesnt know how to run up the score. The best D in the country will absolutely shut their offence down and show how untalented they are on O. ND had a cake schedule this year, USC was their only worthy opponent and they can't play D.

How? The only poll they are ahead of is the Harris poll, a poll so ridiculous that Idaho actually had points one week because the 80-year-old voter voted for them instead of Iowa. The BCS is basically saying "It doesn't matter how good you are...if ND is halfway decent, we're inviting them". What's the point?

I'm picking Texas over USC. Bush may get his yards, but the rest of the USC offense will struggle. Texas man-handled the best offense (Texas Tech) earlier on in the season and they will do the same with USC. The only reason USC is rated higher than Texas, is because of their winning streak.

Yeah, I'd like to if I can get that day off of work. Even if I dont though,you definitely need to swing into Gainesville so we can get our drink on. Once Iowa gets spanked you're going to have to down a couple of strong ones to recuperate from the ordeal ;)

WHAT THE FUCK WAS WRONG WITH THOSE OFFICIALS?

Seriously, Florida played a great game... but we were fucking robbed. The were three calls that cost us the game, those two at the end of the first half and then that offside call on the onside kick.

It's just fucking frustrating.

Hopefully after that debacle they'll rethink the review system and let penalties be reviewed.
