It is probably not Bioware or Will Wright's call to make. It is ultimately EA's property so they can do whatever they want.

Bioshock's pirate versions weren't cracked right for like a good month. Which is when 75% of your sales are going to happen. Even longer for most Starforce games. They just want to hold off the pirates for a while, they know they can't thrwart them entirely short of subscription-based services.

edit: It's not quite as bad as Bioshock. You're limited to three hardware profiles, not installs. So installing to a different hard drive or motherboard or whatever will use up an activation, but a simple re-installation won't.

Hardware profiles == bleh. That means you lose an activation if you ever upgrade. I'd actually take online re-authentication over that.

I now rescind both my "fuck bioware" and "fuck Will Wright" comments. good show.

Is there anyway to momentarily steady your aim when you zoom in with the sniper rifle?

no, you have to just up the sniper skill, which i always found useless in the long run.

Focus on your pistols and your shotguns. If your a biotic, focus on those too (i was the weapons class, but only those 2 ended up being useful, and i ended up spamming my biotic NPCs moves.)

Yeah, you just gotta either sweep snipe or upgrade it quite a bit. The pistol and shotgun are the best weapons in the game though so there's really no need to upgrade the sniper.
