Comedy needs another bill cosby. You know, someone that makes jokes about family shit. Culture differences and political stuff isn't as funny as it used to be. To be honest, both are very depressing these days. I need another comical equiv of the story about the chocolate cake.
"...and she came down the stairs, and her face SPLIT,... and FIRE came from her EYE SOCKETS"
I also want a comedy show with Christopher walken, Patrick Stewart(sp?), and William shatner.
Bill Hicks...Quote:

Stand up comedy is like the lowest rung of entertainment. I also agree with avatar. Almost all of it blows. Hell I love Mr. Show and Arrested Development but I don't give a shit about Cross's stand up.
Dane Cook isn't funny at all. But he's not as bad as Larry the Cable Guy, who is like anti-comedy. I heard him a few times on a local radio station before he got big and he was horrible then too.
I think stand-up comedy is awesome, and some of the things that good comedians can come up with are hilarious.
Improv is the lowest rung.
I love stand-up comedy. I havent gone to too many places but always have a good time.
There's a reason stand up happens in bars and many comedy clubs have two drink minimums. Stand up is much better when you're hammered.
Did you end up checking out one of those places I mentioned when you were in new york by the way?Quote:
