Ultimate Avengers Trailer

So, for those who bought(or pirated) the Fantastic Four DVD, you find the Ultimate Avengers trailer in the secrets section, and for those that didn't, well, you haven't seen it yet. Set for release in Feb of 06 as a DVD only movie, I don't think Marvel thinks this will sell well. At the same time though, what is shown is pretty canon in regards to the actual comic. Then again, you can see for yourself.

It is as if the comic has been castrated!

This needed to be live action.

I'll still watch it though. Just in the hopes that marvel greenlights an Avengers show ala Justice League

It'll never happen, and it'd be too high budget. Using special effects for Hulk, Giant Man, Iron Man, and to a lesser extent, Thor, would absolutely kill any sort of budget the movie had. On the same token, finding suitable actors for Stark, Banner, Rogers, Thor, and Giant Man would be hell in and of itself(obviously Nick Fury is gonna be played by Sammy Jackson, as that is who he is modeled after).

I don't think the movie will truly suck, but I don't think it'll be as awesome as it has the potential to be.

It would be an insane budget for sure, but I think it is still feasible. This is the day and age where movies such as Lord of the Rings have been successfully translated to film after having a substantial amount of money thrown its way. But I do think that after Marvel failures like FF4, Hulk, etc. a lot of companies would be gun-shy to put so much cash into a movie like this.

Although it would be a complete bitch and a half to show the alien invasion, I think...

Just do Volume One, end on the same cliffhanger with Giant Man and Wasp (who, incidentally, doesn't seem to be in this cartoon...)

If they are doing a DVD release, I doubt they are gonna set the stage for a sequel. They'll set it up somehow so that after the Alien Invasion, The Ultimates will be ready for anything else that happens to be thrown their way.

Well, Hulk and some of the other characters are all different movie studios, so they HAD to make it a cartoon to get around that. Also, FF4 was not a failure. It did really well and is getting a sequel.
