Blegh. Europe seems to be taking on a Project Freedom, and governments are to be installing shit in our computers to identify us.

Good luck with that project heh.
If people can mod/crack a PSP within hours of its release whats to say people can't fix that before it ever got off the ground hahaha.
Dont some sites do this already anyways? When perusing some choice porn sites, I occasionally see an ad on screen that says shit like, 'LOL - U R FROM GAINESVILLE - IP address: 37642346 - EVERYONE LOOK THIS GUY LIKES Pron!1"
People could just... exchange computers. Holy shit.
Not quite what it seems to be, but I still don't like it.Quote:

People are going to get mugged for their fucking THUMBS.
TPM: The Privacy Menace? Sounds that way to me.
I'd rather stick with usernames and passwords. They say TPM is supposedly more secure, but at what price? It's basically a "Super Cookie"- fuck that. I hope there will be an Owner Override feature- sure, you will not be able to use DRM'd shit that TPM would enable- but that's a small loss IMO.
We don't need a nanny state chip. Hackers will find a way to spoof TPM numbers, it's virtually guaranteed.
I really hope most merchants wouldn't accept a severed, bleeding thumb as a form of payment.Quote:

It's not something you have to use.
It's just an option, and one I doubt I'll ever use.
