Official Metroid Prime: Hunters DS hookup

Post your friend codes(?) here and I'll keep an updated list. This is definitely one of my most anticipated games of the year and it's just gonna be awesome. I've already pwned TNL at Mario Kart, I believe this game will be even funner and more competitive.

I just got it yesterday...I've only got about 6% on the single player. So I'm not too experienced yet (However, I won the one wifi game I player). I'll add everyone here, and post my Friends code when I look at it.

I just put it back up, try again...or you put up a game and I'll try to connect to it.

I looked up that code and it looks like it's a firewall issue. I'll have to see if I can get that set up right.

I tried creating a game just now...and it I got some different error code...it said miselanious error...lame. I'll try again though. You have an AIM?

I was reading a little be about it on the nintendo forums...and most seem to be saying it's server side, and not with out connections/firewalls, etc.

Maybe Spire just isn't your character!

You might wanna play against some easy bots for a while to get a feel for the maps. It definitely helps to know where everything is.

Trace is the one who specializes in it, but they can all use it. It's the red weapon (you can switch weapons with the little circle in the upper right of the screen, upper left if you're a leftie), and you double tap the weapon icon to zoom with it.

I suck at sniping, but I saw you in midair right before the goal and figured dammit, it's worth a shot.

Also, apparantly a few people can see me but I can't see them in the main lobby. There's a topic on the Nintendowifi site about it and other people are having the same issue, so hopefully that'll sort things out. In the mean time if I don't join your game when I'm online and create my own instead, that's why. :p

Criticom and I played a few quick rounds, and I played with sethsez earlier. I ended up giving my DS a static IP and opening up a DMZ on it to get it to work. Also upgraded my router's firmware to the latest version. Might want to try one or all of those to get things working.

EDIT: nope, won't work. You're getting the same error code I was, 86420. Here's the page on the WiFi site for that error code:

Same here, I had been playing random worldwide games without any troubles but couldn't join or host friend games for anything.

Oh well I'm done for the night. Hopefully everyone can get their hardware straightened out so we can get a 4P game going.

I've been thinking of getting the HORI extendable one. Don't really know anyone that has one though.

I'd assume they're worth investing in.

I just have a stylus about the size of a large pen. It's extremely comfortable, though it obviously doesn't fit in the DS. Still seems like a fair price to pay for no hand cramps.

I haven't been able to make an online game happen since the first day, I do the find a game thing and it'll show 3 people it found and then theyre gone and it goes back to searching shows 3 again and then gone and it never shows anyone of you guys online

I just found out that if you go into multi card play you can set up to play against bots. Good way to practice up on some of the different play modes...

Finally got this tonight, I'm completely blown away at how precise the control is. It's tighter than any console FPS I've ever played.

I added everyone except SXA (I tried but it says the friend code is incorrect). My friend code is:

I will definately be on tommorow (tuesday) on and off all day, add me so I can take my lumps and get used to playing with the stylus!

Odd, things are finally working smoothly for me.

I love how snipers have yet to learn how to counter Spire's ability to climb walls. It seems fairly useless compared to other alt abilities at first, but once you go up against a sniper who's perched up high against one of the edges of a map and doesn't ever think to look behind himself the true benefit of Spire becomes obvious.

Yessir. Not as much as I'd like though, since most of the people on my friends list are from Penny Arcade and their forums are down, so it's been mostly random deathmatches with a few CTF games here and there when the chance comes up.

Don't own Hunters but Animal Crossing wifi has been giving that exact same error for at least 3 months. Nintendo.com's techs are having people jump though hoops and upgrade their routers' firmware and all kinds of other steps.

I don't buy that it's a router issue as I"m on a secure wireless network here in my office, and up until this started I used to visit my friends' villages all the time with little or no issue. I always either get 86420 or 80430. Random Mario Kart matches work fine but since this widespread error code issue occurred we can't get our MK friend codes to work.

Well my router was absolute crap and didn't support NDS wifi despite a week of personal effort and 4 hours with the nintendo guys and a call back from their "expert." Good effort by nintendo but my router is useless. Got the USB dongle, works great.
