There are quite a few games on that list that I will most likely go for on day one (Super Princess Peach, New Super Mario Bros, Pokemon Trozei [Please be online!], Children of Mana, Mario Basketball), but what excatly is ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat about? Being from Mistwalker and having an impressive looking screen shot has me interested.

I believe it's an RPG with prerendered CG for it's visuals during battle (not sure about the outside-of-battle stuff, or if there have even been any details concerning it). I'm really interested in all of Mistwalker's projects (new av :p), though this one is probably the least interesting to me. I don't really dig the art direction, and the CG mechanic doesn't sound all that interesting. I'll still give it a chance, though.

I'm interested in New Super Mario and Mana the most out of those screens. Most of the others intrigue as well.

The DS is continuing to kick ass. The only thing it's lacking in is great Western developed games outside the strategy genre. I would love to see a Flashback or BG&E type of game or an FPS other than Metroid(I don't have much faith in it but maybe they improved it a lot over the demo).

Can't come soon enough in my opinion. Two things please; put the screens right next to each other so that it makes one big screen, and put some brighter screens on it, like the newer SPs.

Yes, brighter screens. There are times where I want to turn a nob or move a switch up to brighten the screen but there isnt one.

Amen. I didn't even want it at the beginning, but my brother bought it at launch, and while there was that dry period, it really kicks ass now!!

I hope Nintendo takes a cue from the DS and can translate some of this into the Revolution.

That can be said about nearly every system throughout history. The DS's main hardware downfall to me is how thin it is. If it had just a little more bulk to the unit, it'd be easier to play in long stretches.

I don't see how. Unless you thought I was saying align them horizontally, which I wasn't. They would still need to be vertically alligned only there wouldn't be a gap (deadspot) between the two screens. Getting used to some older games not aligning properly would be less annoying than the deadspot that exists now.

"Right next to each other" makes it seem like they'd be horizontal. "Right on top of each other" probably would have been a better way to say it. I rather like the gap, actually. It'd seem weird to just have one big screen for DS games.

As Jeremy pointed out, the way you stated your idea made it sound like you wanted them vertically.

The problem with putting one right on top of the other is that it would be hard to pull off well. You'd have to have the screens right at the edges of the hardware, and not only would it be a bit awkward, it would make it far easier to damage the screens from the side when the unit is closed.

And yeah, you'd hurt a great number of older titles that were developed with that exact amount of spacial difference in mind.

It's a fair want, but to be honest, that is so far down on my list of things I'd want from a re-designed DS that it isn't even relevant to me. A bit lighter, so it is easier to hold with one hand or while lying on your back, better face buttons, screens a bit brighter, better sound quality, PictoChat internet usable built-in - those kinds of things are of far more value to me.

They should have had a PDA style look, vert touch screen and the buttons (Dpad, etc) are on the top and bottom of the device for widescreen gaming. The touch games worth playing don't need the other controls.

I paid it once when I bought it for myself, but if I buy one as a gift, I also benefit from (and therefore love/enjoy) a lower price. My bad about the PDA thing, although they could still do those things with a revised version of the system.

Come on, mate. You say that now, but after the way the DS totally dominated Japan in December, you can bet that there is going to be a shitload of new content announced for the DS. Where will the PSP be then?

Hell, even in Europe, which is Sony country, the DS is still a little ahead of the PSP in sales.

Not to discount the PSP in any way because it's a damn fine system, but I think Sony forgot that it is a portable 'gaming' system.

Peach, New Mario and the RPGs look awesome. I won't buy Metroid Prime: Hunters, but the graphics are fantastic for the DS. The graphics are starting to look a little better on the 3D games, better than the "N64 without the blurring" of earlier games.

I don't know what to think about Metroid Prime: Hunters. This is being handled by Retro, right? Every time I've expected the worst from Nintendo regarding Metroid, I end up very wrong. Metroid Prime is the sole reason I want a GameCube and/or Revolution, and the DS pinball game is actually pretty damn fun. My knee-jerk reaction is to say that they'll drop the ball on this one, but they've proven me wrong before.

A SNES B-Sides & Rarities collection would be nice. Give me BattleClash, Metal Combat, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Startropics and Zoda's Revenge (updated graphics would be nice) Super Tennis, Tetris & Dr. Mario, BS Satellaview games like Mario Excitebike, BS Zelda (with the option to play as Link), Super Punch-Out. Basically games that aren't A-list first-string franchises, like Mario, Zelda, Metroid and Donkey Kong.

Out there selling their crap, I'd reckon. I am not claiming the DS isn't beating the PSP in terms of support (or sales), but the PSP is hardly a dead system, or even a dying system. The list Andy posted is plentiful. The difference between the DS and PSP is the DS has about 4 or 5 system sellers and the PSP has none, which is a big hole to be in when the cost of owning your system is so high (and the price of games is higher, as well).

I personally kind of like the flip-top of the DS. Makes it feel that much more manly.

Any more info on Contact, Lost Magic, and Iron Feather? They all look really good(especially Contact)but I've never heard anything about them.

By the way, the usual suspects have my interest, but the one that has it the most is a new Wario game. That last one that came out early in the GBA life cycle was fanfuckingtastic!!!!

I've always been itchin' for some sweet RTS action because the stylus and dual screens are begging for some to be ported. Thankfully it looks like the decision makers in the collective of gaming have come to TNL and hoisted my triumphant voice above all of the surrounding white noise and taken my idea on dove's wings. That or they could have figured it out themselves.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is a huge release only in it's second week, on a platform that has a much higher installed base, and 3 DS games beat it. Plus, 8 of the top 10 games are on DS, with most selling over 100,000 in a week, which many faily big games struggle to do in a month. And as shidoshi mentioned, DSes are selling so well that Nintendo can't keep up with demand.

Come on, that's pretty impressive.

And I'm not sure I'd call it WarioWare, per say... I mean, it could be seen as a game of mini-games, but that makes it sound a bit less serious than it meant to be. It's based on a book (or something similar) of mental challenges that were designed to "stimulate" your brain and give it the exercise it doesn't always get. The initial project was based on studies that showed that regular exercise of your brain can help keep you healthy mentally and help ward off things like Alzheimer's.

So yeah, it is still a game, but it was put together for a serious purpose, and that's why its audience consists of a lot of older people who usually don't play video games.

The second one, from what I know - and I could be wrong - is more focused on kanji and the practice and study of it.

It says that PSP isn't the ideal platform to be pushing their number one franchise. That's the reason for the quick port over.

If the number one selling franchise of this generation can't help the PSP to move the amount of units that Sony and third parties expect, what will? I hope that the Final Fantasy VII spinoff helps them out a bit.

I don't want to see any system fail. I just want a wide variety and huge selection of games. At the rate things are going, it might take a while for Sony to reach this on the PSP.
