Videos are good since they're the only ones like it on the market, but once Creative has theirs out, it will be better. iPods are overpriced and underfeatured otherwise, and the non-replaceable battery is just pure greed from Apple. Fuck them.

Oh, you can replace the battery easily, it just takes the right tools and you actually having some guts to void your warranty(if still active).

Mine is void, I've had to replace the battery already. I have a 20 GB Black and White model, the one thing that Apple shouldn't do is charge them before sending them out on shelves. Having a rechargeable battery with a charge just sit and sit is horrible for it.

Shocking update for Mr. sphere79 Jr: iPod shuffle does not contain a hard drive!

Also replacing the battery on my 20GB iPod was a simple process. You'd have to be a jibbering retard to be able to screw it up. The battery I ordered even came with plastic tools to make removing the casing even easier.

Truth. They sell those packages in stores, it's not exactly difficult.

Access on the flash-based ones is faster, yes. That said, I don't think I've ever really had problems on my HD-based iPod. When first playing a song, yeah, sometimes it takes a second to get started, but from there, usually there's not enough of a pause for me to really notice or be bothered by it.
