EDIT: my main complaint about iPods is that they do not play continues DJ sets without pausing for a second between tracks, it's so fucking annoying!!! ....and no i'm not interested in ripping the CD as one long track cuz that way searching to a track is a pain in the ass.

i wonder if the PSP would support this. I also hope to god the new Sony Ericsson P990 smartphone supports the 8GB card.

As Taito stated, if it was released now, it wouldnt work. The PSP only supports up to 2GB. But with a firmware update, I dont think it would be a problem.

Smartphones are sometimes iffy when it comes to the size of cards. That Sony camera phone (black - forgot model number) offered by Cingular only supports up to 256mb or 512mb (i forgot also) even though there is the 2gb pro duo available. My Nextel i870 supports 512mb transflash and people dont know if the 1gb transflash will be working once its released.

I say with the release of the 4GB and 8GB, it would be about $300-400 and $400-500 respectively. I say within 6 months or so of release, it would drop $100-200 in price. This would also drop the price of the 2GB

are you refering to the Sony Ericsson S710 that only accepted 128MN duo cards?

I don't know if this was a typo, but the PSP can read the full capacity of Datel's 4GB HDD.

Why is that exactly? I just got a new cell phone from Amazon for $250, and a couple of months from now I'll have that $250 back. That counts for something as far as I'm concerned.

As I said in another thread, it's interesting and all (assuming it can be used on PS3 and the price goes down fast) and shows you the progression of flash based media as a very viable stoarge medium. But the $140 2 GB I recently bought is more than enough for my PSP video, emu, MP3 needs. Paying up to $500 for a memory stick? :confused: Maybe if I was a hardcore hobby photographer.

edit: Whenever PSP can (supposedly) read more than 4 GB.
