Dirty Work = bad?? You sir, are the first I have heard say that.

Oh, it'll make the 2 mil back easy. Almost any movie pull that much.
Dirty Work was hilarious, unlike 98% of the movies made by past SNL stars.
I saw part of Dirty Work on cable a few weeks ago. It seemed kinda funny.
Dirty Work is good for a few laughs
More gayness- When he heard that Steve-O and Bam Margera were going to be on the show this morning, Sal suggested that he and Richard play "gay chicken" with them. Sal's version of "gay chicken" consists of Steve-O and Richard getting on all fours with their mouths open. Sal and Bam would then have their cocks out and take little tiny steps forward until someone gave up. :yuck:
Happily, I got to work early into the Steve-O/Bam interview so I don't know if this went down or not.
BTW, Artie weighed in at 282lbs this morning. Woah.
Ok, this needs to stop.
Shit, Artie is currently crying on the air. He just admitted to recently having a heroin problem, but he's been clean for about a year. wtf.
fattest heroin addict ever.
I think he was doing it while filming Beer League, which explains all the weight he lost back then.
He was probably doing it while filming Beer League. That would explain all the weight he lost back then.
I didn't hear the whole thing, as I'm at work now. I need to look up my Sirius username/password so I can start listening to the internet stream.
Might also explain part of why Beer League is supposed to be horriffically bad.
I heard it was the biggest opening week flop of all time.
for those who care, there was no gay chicken. Sal and Richard painted Howard and Gene Simmons on their privates, using their penises for howard's nose and gene's tongue. They then had a contest to see who could get their sacks closeset to a candle flame and stay there the longest. Bam and Steve-O didn't participate.
Beer League was okay at best, and "eh" at worst. It's only really notable because Artie's in it.
As for it's opening weekend gross, it was only playing in limited release.
Yeah, I know. Thank gawd, because you know Sal and Richard would play to lose.
it's funny how people keep calling in saying they've watched it multiple times. Even if it was good I wouldn't pay to see it. I don't agree with giving money I worked for to people who already have a lot of it and do nothing.
It was funny because Richard actually touched the flame and burned his balls. Sal was pissed because Richard "won".
Unfortunately, Sal brought up the Gay Chicken competition again when a caller said he would do anything to sit in on Robin's news. Even Richard came in angry saying, "What's in it for me?" It's unclear if it's going to happen, but I recall the caller eventually agreeing to the stunt.
And LOL at Crazy Alice going demonic during the football picks.
God damn, I can't believe I missed that. I'm going to have to look for it during the replays.
The interview with the movie critic was hilarous. Whan an idiot.
Crazy Alice and Elegant Elliot's football picks segments were hilarious.
I just heard Artie's heroin admission on the replay. Dole, I'm glad you brought this up because I would have been kicking myself for missing it. Greatest live commercial for Betus.net ever.
George Takei is in the studio again today! :tu: :tu:
Was this announced beforehand? The show's always better when George is there.
He's there today and tomorrow I guess. George is the man.
I'm listening to the West Coast feed now and I decree that George Takei is the greatest thing ever.
Is it true he actually had the insane clown posse in today?
If its true....he really must be having a hard time getting guests.
Even if ICP was on, that means jack (though I'm glad I missed it). Maybe someone canceled, or something. The guests have been pretty good imo lately. I mean, Conan used to have Al Roker on every few months, doesn't mean a whole lot.
You O&A fanboys need to stop hunting for chinks in the armor because it's pretty dumb.
Particularly that one. I love O&A but they don't get a lot of A-list guests. I mean they have a lot of regular guests that are very entertaining (I'd rather listen to Patrice Oneal than Tom Cruise any day), but as far as big names? Not as much. They're too notorious for laying into people and burning bridges. I remember Amanda Peet was on one time, and Opie asked her what was wrong with her tits in the Whole 10 Yards just to see what would happen. I'm sure that cost them anyone else that publicist works with.
Well, the armor would still have to be there to find chinks in.
Did I compare Howard to O&A in the first place? They have shit guests all the time. I am just stating Howard used to get HUUUUUGE names in daily, now he has ICP? LAWL. Maybe he can get some Jugalos to sub to sirius now.
He's had ICP in as guests for a long time, as far back as I can remember. Long before all the O&A lovers decided they didn't like Howard anymore. Howard's guest list is about the same as it's always been. He only ever got big names once in a while, and he still gets them once in a while. Today he had Gilbert Gotfried!
He had several of the guys from Jackass last week (Bam, Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville). Having the stars of the #1 movie in the country ain't too shabby.
But yeah, Howard's guest list has been a little less impressive since the move to Sirius (smaller audience = less celeberties willing to come on and promote shit), but the show itself is so much improved otherwise that I don't really care.
And George Takei was only in the studio until Tuesday. No George today. :(
Yeah, it's too bad George lives in California and is busy doing Star Trek cruises and such, because I really want him to be in the studio more (the two truths and a lie revelations were awesome). I wonder what it will take to convince Howard to hire him full-time.
I still say fire the worthless news department and give their combined salaries to George.
Yesterday we found out why they kept delaying the Gary roast and Sam Simon's The Bitter Half. They were saving them for the two day free preview of Sirius' internet service on October 25th and 26th. Anyone here going to try it out?
Bob Schimmel is one of the greatest guests EVER. The argument he had with his wife and the horrid resentment and jealousy he carried throughout the entire interview was classic. My favorite line:
"The grass is always greener on the other side. At least with my first wife, I didn't have to worry about guys trying to fuck her."
Brutal.
Todays show was pretty good with the whole Elliot crap and the Schimmel story with his wife.
For those of you who did not catch the end of the Howard Stern show today, I strongly advise that you catch a replay. Gilbert Gottfried was the last guest, and it was classic, brutally funny Gilbert and Artie. Things were so hectic that Gilbert managed to get himself censored by Howard. They never revealed what he said afterwards, but it had something to do with Steve Irwin's kid. Also catch the first-half of the Wrap Up Show if you have time.
83,000,000 dollars says Howard wins, again.
Artie rules so fucking much. I hope he doesn't die anytime soon.
BTW, I guess with Mastertape Theatre, we'll never get a new show on a Friday ever again.
And speaking of Mastertape Theatre, I really couldn't possibly give less of a shit about it. I don't care about the old shows- all they do is remind me of how much better Stern is on Sirius. Howard 100/101 sucks on Fridays now.
Yeah, that's a nice little bonus he got.
Mastertape Theatre needs to be just the good bits and nothing else. No one wants to listen to 4 hours from 1989. I liked the times when I heard the Friday Show pre-Mastertape when Gary would play choice NBC bits.
They also need to fire Sal. They need to cancel the Bubba show. They need to reveal whatever Ralph has on Howard and move on, because I can't stand Ralph. George Takei needs to come on more frequently, but not every day (it is a treat to hear him on).
The show's entertaining, but it needs some tweaking.
Agreed. And they replay the same 4 hour show all day and night long on Friday. Mastertape Theater sucks.
If you ask me, that's a much better use of the K-Rock tapes.Quote:

Although I always felt bad that Howard, Artie, Robin and Fred got Fridays off but Gary still had to work.
His phony phone calls are funny. Just keep that idiot off the air.Quote:
They also need to fire Sal.
I never listen to it, so I don't care either way. The same goes for Ferrell.Quote:
They need to cancel the Bubba show.
Seriously, does anyone listen to Bubba or Ferrell?
Am I the only person who doesn’t mind Ralph? I mean, I'm not a huge fan or anything but the guy's funny, he's blunt as all hell, and anyone that can leech off another person and not have to work certainly has MY respect.Quote:

IBTNQuote:

If it needs any tweaking, it's only minor. The show's 100x better than it ever was at K-Rock.Quote:

I listen to Bubba because I use to listen pre Sirius days when he was on local radio. I don't really listen to Ferrell but I am sure it is the same with people that do, they probably use to listen to him before he was on Sirius.
EDIT: Oh and Mastertape Theater sucks, it is the only time I won't listen to 100/101
Mastertape theater is good in theory. I actually like that they play the whole show. The worst thing about the E Show, which also applies here, is that they focus on the celebrity guest clips when those are often the most boring parts of a show. I think they should do a Friday show in the mornings and save Mastertape theater as a friday afternoon/weekend/vacation thing, and they shouldn't play the same one back to back over and over.
I thought Bubba was stupid at first, but I listened and I like him now. If I'm listening to a part of the Stern Show replay that I've heard already I'll switch to Bubba and be happy. As long as he's not talking about racing and other hick stuff it's good. I love when Bubba visits Howard in NY, those have been some of the best segments on the Stern Show. Ferrell sucks all around though. I hate having him instead of Bubba on my drive home from work.
I agree with Dole about Ralph, but I'll go so far as to say that I'm a Ralph fan. He's great when girls are in the studio specifically. Howard and the regulars lie all the time about how hot a girl is. Many times I've gone to Howardstern.com in the evening because I had to see what the chick they were talking about looked like, only to be disappointed. Ralph's is the only opinion i trust over the air.
Ralph sucks
Agree with Dole about Sal... keep him behind the scenes and not in view trying to fellate Richard Christie.
Still hate Ralph.
I cannot possibly agree with this statement more. There's been countless times that Howard has declared a girl a "10" or "perfect" or the "hottest girl we've ever had on" and then I go to Howardstern.com to see the pic and she's a total pig. Ralph tells it like it is.
For those who don't listen to Bubba, here is a parody from Ned (Manson) of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" called "Howard went down to Florida"
Well, Howard announced on his show this morning that he proposed to Beth O. yesterday. After eight years of claiming that he would never get married after his divorce, Howard popped the question while both were nude. The first two hours were nothing but everyone busting on Howard's chops. Good show so far.
I want to hear him complain more about Howard K. Stren.
I know most of you guys are not huge fans of Bubba the Love Sponge but starting on the 23rd, he will be on in the morning every Friday on 101 from 6-10. Beats listening to Mastertape theater.
Man, moving to satellite was the worst thing Howard could do. He doesn't even register in my mind anymore. Mornings feel a lot more productive now.
Yeah, the show is 100x better now, despite that he doesn't really have any high-profile guests anymore.
Yeah, and not being censored is nice, too. Who wouldn't take that deal?
Yeah, I was pretty shocked when I turned on the show today. I don't see why a person in Stern's position would ever get married again. But I guess it's nice to have someone around to take care of you when you get old and feeble, which he'll be in a few years.
I know I'm a year late on all this Howard on Sirius, but i recently saw something that was new on youtube from howard and robin was still there. I thought she was leaving to do he own show or something what's up wit dat?
Her TV show never got picked up from what I understand. And I don't think she was ever going to leave Howard even if the TV thing took off.
BTW, the music special is this weekend. Should be good.
EDIT: yeah, what Cow said.
Good = George Takei is in-studio all week.
Bad = After calling in "sick" yet again yesterday, Artie announced that he thinks he needs to go to rehab, although he wouldn't say why or if he was using drugs again.
Artie talked about it for a bit in the Wrap-Up Show. His explanation was that he never really went to rehab after his bout with heroin, unlike his previous addiction with cocaine. He's afraid that he hasn't really overcome his heroin addiction like his cocaine addiction and felt that a stint in rehab will help him overcome his fear. He also stated that the Stern schedule is killing him (since he's also doing stand-up full time), and would use rehab as a way to catch up on sleep.
Artie was leaving hints that he would leave the show if Fox would come to him with the "perfect deal", which is essentially working the same amount of hours he did on The Norm Show but getting paid more. It doesn't seem likely, and Artie is going to cut down on his stand-up gigs after April due to some tapings with Rescue Me and maybe Entourage, so that should reduce his stress. Definitely catch the Wrap-Up Show replay if you have a chance.
I'm going to see Artie Lange in a Comedy Central show taping this Thursday (late afternoon) in NYC. I might have an extra ticket if a friend bows out, but I won't know until tomorrow. Watch this space if you live near the city, are interested in going, and will be free Thursday.
I don't know why Artie feels compelled to work so many stand-up gigs. They did this bit back on K-Rock where all the main players on the Stern show revealed their salaries and Artie was making $500,000 a year back then. He has to be making even more now on Sirius.
The thing is, he signed a contract and the Stern Show is his main job. Either cut back on the outside jobs that are affecting your work or just fucking quit. In 4 years Stern's done anyway, Artie'll have plenty of time to work gigs and sitcoms then.
I might be interested. Let me know.
Wait, are you the Cow that gets blown by guys? Nevermind. ;)
Artie touched on this during the Wrap-Up Show. Artie admitted that he's having a hard time leaving money on the table. During the last year at K-Rock, Artie was making 3x the money he normally does at stand-up. Now, especially after his Carnegie Hall stint, he's easily making 4x.
Artie also conceded that it was very sensible for him to stick around until Howard's done and then go for the sitcom and stand-up gigs. Well, to be continued...
I think Artie would be making a huge mistake leaving the show to do stand up full time. I just don't think he would be as popular without the show.
I assume that shit went down while you were banned. Read this entire thread- it is an all-time classic.
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/s...ad.php?t=43408
Dole, check your PM.
Artie's the best part of the show without question. That said, his stand up act mostly sucks out loud. If he wasn't connected to the show he would have a hard time making a living solely as a standup.
Wrong cow, but we both basically live in NYC.
Yeah, thanks again for the offer, Cow. If I didn't have that interview I would totally take you up on it.
Gilbert Gottfried + George Takei + Shit Sprinkles + Ed McMahon's Audio Book = awesomeness.
The Ed McMahon phony phone call was great, but I'm so fucking sick of Gilbert Gottfried being on every other day.
I'm a huge fan of the Gilbert belly laugh, especially when it's inappropriately played after Robin reads a horrible news story.
"Last night in Florida, police report that two children were shot in the head by a distraught mother."
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"
Once a year would be too much.
No one even approaching celebrity status even goes near Stern's show anymore. The closest he's had is when Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O came on when Jackass Number Two came out. Nowadays he just interviews washed-up losers like Gilbert, Dice, and Dee Schnider. Shit, the other day he did a phone interview with some guy who used to be the weatherman for Channel 9 News back when I was a kid. I almost felt sorry for Howard.
Not that Sterns needs celebrity guests anyway- the Sirius show is more than awesome enough without them. I just pray that Artie doesn't end up leaving (either because of Hollywood or death).
I still say they should fire the entire news department and use their combined salaries to hire Geroge Takei full-time. The show is always 100x better when he's on.
I'm not sure he would do it, I think he lives in Arizona or Southern California
Yeah, George has a "full-time" career and lives in California, but he should definitely do the show more. At least one week a month.
I can never get enough Gilbert. When he's there for the news it's a riot. I love Takei too but I think he'd get on my nerves if he were there all the time. He already repeats himself a lot.
I don't think Stern's guest quality has dropped much either. He never got many big names even on terrestrial radio. The people who he did get weren't the A listers they are now when he got them (Jim Carrey, Sienfeld, Schwarzenegger). At Sirius he's still had Donald Trump, Martha Stewart. Hulk Hogan, Luke Wilson, M. Night Shamaylan, Ozzy, Ivan Rightman, Roger Daltry, and many more.
Hoooooooo, boy! I just got an interesting bit of gossip.
My coworker stopped by my office to ask me about the Artie Lange Comedy Central taping last night. She commented that she met one of the comedians who did the warm up last night at a party. The comedian (whose name I can't remember, but he's Iranian and was funny at the show) told her about a pre-interview he did with Artie Lange and asked him this question. I am paraphrasing here, and I acknowledge that this could be nothing more than hearsay, but if it's true, it would explain a lot of things.
Holy shit. If this is true, it would explain Artie's recent absences and why Artie said he wanted to go to rehab for 28 days.Quote:
Comedian: So how's the love life going?
Artie Lange: It's not going well. In fact, I shouldn't even be telling you this, but I broke up with my last girlfriend because I was using heroin again.
The comedian told my coworker that Artie looked like a complete mess when he interviewed him. And here's a bonus question and answer because I thought it was funny.
:lol:Quote:
Comedian: So you've done Mad TV, Beer League, movies, and the Howard Stern show. During your career, when was the time you had the best ladies.
Artie Lange: When I was on cocaine. As soon as I whipped it out, all the supermodels flocked to you.
It wouldn't suprise me if Artie was using again. He kicked the habit on his own that one time, but he never got the professional help he needs to correct his issues and function sober. Rehab might do the trick, although I wish he'd put it off until after Stern's Sirius deal is done. A month without Artie would suck.
Call into the Stern Show monday and rat on Artie. It's always funny when he gets busted by listeners.
The last string of shows have been excellent, but Sal getting shot in the ass with several close-range paintball shots was the best. Howard playing Sal's wife songs with his wife there was also good.
Sal's wife must really hate his fucking guts- she was the one blasting Sal in the ass with the paintball gun. And she was laughing while he yelled and writhed on the floor in pain. She loved it.
Holy shit, look at that size of that paint gun!
http://www.howardstern.com/dtcms/tsimg/08_13658.jpg
BTW, Howard is right- Sal's wife IS way too hot for him.
That segment was brutal, she didn't care when he was in pain. What a bitch.
Sal falls off the stage in Tampa:
LOL. Waaaaah! I fell off the stage! Waaaaah!
Baba Booey Sal Dance. They didn't have the rights to play one of the Booey parodies on Howard TV, so they went with a generic Booey tune. Still funny.
Why is that funny?
Sal got fucked up really bad from that. He fell, like, 7 feet onto concrete. Broke 2 ribs and shattered his wrist. They saying he may have to have a steel plate inserted for his wrist to heal correctly.
The fact that Sal got hurt isn't funny, but the visual of him dancing off the stage wearing that Baba Booey mask is.
The Miss Black Howard Stern contest was today. It was great, if you didn't hear it you should really catch it on the replay. Good shit.
Oh, and:

The winner did not sound like a black woman at all
