Shockwave is in the game and he looks fucking R A D.
I actually did go to Severance and there was only like fifteen people there and they were quiet. I was amazed. Valley View is pimp but it was too far away for me with the time constraints.
i saw transformers last night. it was cool. the theatre was packed, but there weren't any obnoxious loud people in the audience, so that was nice.
i really liked the humor in the movie. especially when the chick says the car looks crappy and so bumblebee kicks the two out, and the guy's like, "you hurt his feelings! he's sensitive." the scene where the kid's at his house searching for the glasses with all the autobots standing outside was funny, though a bit dragged out.
and i thought scorpion in the desert looked really awesome. i loved seeing giant robots transform and destroy stuff on the big screen. this is one of those movies where seeing it in the theatre is a definite must, but that was obvious.
I didn't notice any product placement at all. I was watching the movie, not LOOKING for it. And I suppose that if there were logos or brand visibility, it's because it might be similarly so in real life. I'm a noob with the spoiler tag, so don't chew my head off. Ex. When the S7 guy zapped the Australian girl's cellphone and talked about Toshibas. Well, would you pissed off if he mentioned her cell phone was a Motorola or some shit? They showed GMC on the cars. So, what? Also, the Mountain Dew thing. Would it be better if the vending machine shot out Cokes, Pepsis or Sprites?? Please. Now, I kept expecting that the little robot would have turned into an iPod, instead of a stereo. That would have been more plausible.
The Starscream battle in flight with the Air Force was pretty cool. That would be much more like the real thing, because there's no way to defend from attacks like that.
In the prequal comic. Sams dad gave him a box with all that stuff in it. Including the glasses. Sam than put it on Ebay to try and sell. Than BB when to a cyber cafe, jacked into one of the computers and searched for it on google. and found the glasses on ebay.
And as far as product placement. That Tom Hanks movie. I think Fed Ex paid for the damn thing.

Don't be silly. Even disregarding the Transformers toy line, the entire film was an advertisement. So many different Hasbro toys (My Little Pony, Furby,) GM cars, fast food joints, cell phones, web sites, Mountain Dew + Zboz. Hell, even the US Armed Forces got a whole bunch of positive imagery.
