Word on the hardcore joystick community is that the stick is ass and a bitch to mod. You're better off either waiting for another Xbox 360 stick or getting a custom one built once the hackers figure out how to properly solder to a Xbox 360 controller.Quote:

It's not even about the circular motions. It's every move that requires you to press multiple buttons simultaneously or any combo that requires you to press different buttons in quick succession (here I am thinking mostly of the Vs. games). I can't bust out EX moves in combos using a pad when I play Third Strike... like Dudley's standing roundhouse into his EX punch thing, I can't do that on a pad.
The only way it becomes playable is when they redesign the controls, like in MotM when they got rid of all multiple button press moves and made them quarter circle commands or charge moves.
BonusKun used the Neo CD pad really well...he even prefers it to console sticks. Pretty weird, but playing his Gato, Geese, Kim, Kyo, and Rock made me believe. More the exception than the rule, though...Quote:

My friend is an excellent Urien and Hugo player and he uses the Dualshock 2. I have no clue how he manages. I have MAS sticks, X-Arcade, Red Octane, Hori, and other assorted sticks at his disposal whenever he visits- yet he still prefers using pads.
I will never understand.
Yeah, that comment was more a jab at 3D fighters, because I hate them all. I still use a stick to play them, but I guess I can mash random buttons or tap tap tap just as well on a pad.
I got the joke, but I just wanted to clear it up for people that might not know otherwise. I played a friend of mine on Monday in 3rd strike and he refused to play with anything other than that crappy Anniversary Edition controller, despite my having the anniversary stick and my sanwa/happ modded pelican stick there...problem was he wasn't doing very well, regardless :).Quote:
