Whee credit theft
Ok so basically I'm noticing charges from ISps like AOL, MSN, etc on my credit card, which I know I haven't been purchasing. Obviously someone has my credit card number. WHat I'm wondering is since those servers are for locations, should I try and get some sort of investigation going on at this guy to get him arrested? And then should I change my credit card number or should I change my credit card number first, and then do it, because I'm not sure if changing that would cause a problem in tracking the guy down and suing him, or whatever I can to hurt him.

Call your credit card company and ask them.
-
Heh it's actually a bank account thing so yeah I'll just head up there and ask in a few.
-
I had the exact same thing happen to me. There is even a thread for it. Do a search for it.
-
File for fraudulent charges with your bank, they'll block them from coming in again, and probably do a transfer of accounts.
I deal with this shit daily.
-
Yeah, Chux is on the ball with it...The same thing happened to my friend and he had to to what was just mentioned...
-
Yeah I took acare of it now, I should get a new card in the mail soon and get the credit that was taken back, so all is well. Just gotta borrow money for a bit.

Today is a good day for crime. :(

I had "the bank" call my moms house once and say that a lot of charges had been racked up on my card over the past week or two and they wanted to verify this and that. I checked my account history and I had made 4 small withdrawals that week for gas, cigarettes, food, etc. I never talked to the people who called but it sounded kind've phony to me. Credit fraud is some scary shit.

It's true. Don't verify SHIT, unless you're sitting at the bank right across from somebody.
