Can't think of any real awful stories, though I worked a few retail jobs. First was at a gas station that was right next to the city's fairgrounds. Worst thing I can think of was the time the carnival was in town and all the dirty, grungy carnies were milling about the store. Kinda gross, and one of them dropped some weed in an aisle or something.
Probably the worst part about the gas station job (which was my first job) was the other people I worked with. Laaaaazy people, though generally nice. One was sorta repulsive in a white trash sorta way, but I got along with everyone.
Then I worked at a pizza place, which was an awesome job until new management took over. New manager was pretty retarded, gave hours to lazy fucks and took hours from hard working people. After a couple of months of his reign, me and an entire shift of people quit on a Saturday night. Just shut down everything and locked the doors at like 5:00 PM (the manager scheduled three people to work a Saturday night at a busy pizza place).
My least favorite job ever was working at a Sam Goody in the mall. Wasn't because of the customers or the people I worked with, just the job itself. I hated having to sell their awful club card (it's the worst deal ever--if you have a Replay card, you are a chump) and hated having to do mini-reviews at the end of every month. People at the job were real cool, though.
Best customer event at Sam Goody was probably the worst for another of the store's employees. I was in the back of the store stocking stuff with another employee and some mentally disabled guy came back and asked if we liked piggy back rides. I forget exactly what happened after that, but it ended with the guy jumping on my buddy's back (the disabled guy probably was twice his weight) yelling, "Just as friends! Just as friends!" before jumping off and running out of the store. True story.
We later heard that some guy (presumably the same guy) got kicked out of the mall for sexually assaulting some woman in a Nordstrom (the story was pretty similar).
