Goodness I suck at this game. I mean, I can't even get past the FIRST set of soldiers without it turning into a big gunfight. Even with the new camera.
All future Metal Gears just need to stay indoors and give me a radar. I hate the jungle.

I'm still trying to find out how Major Zero's advice on cutting the bridge ropes in that first area does anything useful in helping me take out the guards passing on it.
I've given up on not killing every living thing I come across. I don't think I have a stealthy bone in my body. Although I don't think lying in the grass and head-shotting the clueless guards will ever get old.

+1 one for the suck party at this game. I'm just like chillin in the grass...and they guards are like "!?" and I just freak out running in circles with the camera spinning and panning in and out.
Hehe, I had the same thing happen to me. Although I chose to knife them to death as opposed to shooting them. I LOVE the brighter jungle setting. It's far more lively than MGS 1 and 2's areas. The old camera is good for when you've got multiple guards in a wide area, but otherwise, the new camera system totally smokes it.Quote:

I remember reading somewhere that Kojima wanted to use a third-person camera system for MGS4, so what he did was implement it in Subsistence as an experiment. Looks like the experiment was a success.Quote:

Sold my extra for $110+. Yay for capitalism.
Is it a win for capitalism or a loss for humanity that someone would pay over a hundred bucks for it?
If you shoot the bridge ropes near where one of the guards is walking it'll cause the bridge there to tilt and the guard will lose his balance and slide off into the gorge. I used to do this all the time back with the original MGS3 demo.Quote:
