I had fun playing MGS2 last night and shooting tranquilizer darts in E.E.'s face and then blowing her up with remote mines. I have one week left to beat this game!
Kojima's stories are shitty, but fun. Which is why the first MGS actually has my least favorite story of the three... it's just so mundane compared to the other two that there's nothing to distract from all the stupid crap. By comparison, MGS2 has so much going on and is so ridiculously ambitious that even though it fails, it's entertaining to see how it fails.
So I just preordered the 30 dollar version and got the bonus disc on the spot. Was that supposed to happen?
Yes. That's not the movie disc that comes with the LE, just a piddly little documentary.
Oh I know what it is. It's just that I thought it was only available to people that preordered the LE.
I'm still curious as to why anyone would want the movie disc anyway but whatever.
I actually feel the opposite. I enjoy the gameplay very much, but I'd go so far as to say that if the storyline's weren't so freaking over-the-top and [pretentious] I would care about the games a LOT less. A LOT. The storyline/dialog/presentation/whatever is the most interesting thing about the series to me.Quote:

BTW, are there any wireless headsets that work with the PS2? My couch is about 12 feet back from my TV so wired is not an option.
I've been playing the NES version of Metal Gear since yesterday. The card system is really retarded in that game. Did they fix that for the version that's on Subsistence?

The version with Subsistence is not the NES version. It's the superior MSX version. I'm not sure about the card system, but I do know that the Subsistence version of the MSX MG1 does not use the weak English translation of the European MSX MG1.Quote:

Yeah, the US NES version has some hilarious Engrish. The European MSX version of MG has some typos here and there, but not quite as much Engrish as the NES one. However, unlike the NES version, half the dialog was removed from the European MSX version. Oddly enough, the NES MG translation is actually better than the European MSX MG translation in some ways.Quote:

I dont know what to do. The only reason I want to get this is because of the first two MG games. I played through the first version when it came out, and the MGS3 movie will inevitably show up online as a movie. Online doesnt interest me.

I swear, this is the last time I am preordering anything from them. I preorder the LE back on 2/3, so when I go pick it up today, I ask them, where is the Saga DVD? Guess what, they don't have it, they gave it all out because it is for the "regular" edition only. I was like, WTF? The 2nd employee there tries to spew more lies, saying those were all given away 3 weeks ago to regular ed. preorders only. Funny thing is, I tried to pickup the Saga DVD last week but they told me that I have to wait to pick it up on release day.
So I guess I am SOL on the Saga DVD. Anyone know if I can write an email or call to complain about this particular EB (on Broadway, NYC). Sucks.
