Hooray for games i already own on a portable. This is only my second time buying Tales of Eternia, but the third for Breath of Fire III. Hooray!

Tales of Eternia's amazing for the zero load times. It's all of seven seconds when you start it up, and then none at all when you're playing. Somehow the game doesn't look as good on PSP as i remember. It has been a few years since i last played it, so maybe i'm just remembering it wrong.
I need to dig the Playstation version out of storage to compare the voices, but they also sound worse than i remember. They might have just lifted them off the original English language release, but i'm not sure.

Breath of Fire III looks a lot better but suffers from pretty inexcusable load times. They're not terrible, but it's a lazy, lazy port. No surprise, really. The graphics look reeeally nice here, even if the PSP's refresh rate ruins it just a little. From what i've read, the fishing game's expanded too. D: Where's the quick save feature? Tales has that!

It's more than just "okay", it's an excellent stick. Not sure how the joystick snobs reached the conclusion that the buttons will eventually become unresponsive (perhaps they just compulsively mash?) For me, this joystick greatly improved my overall execution percentage.

I especially appreciate the fact the stick isn't too large unlike most conventional home arcade sticks. It's small enough to rest comfortably in your lap, which is how I use it while playing on my PC monitor. It should be noted too, the stick clicks -- which I know tends to annoy most players (anyone who's savvy enough though can open up the stick and remove the part that's responsible for the clicking).

My dad proposed earlier this month, he got a nice ring for his girlfriend out of sheer luck. He had one reserved months and months ago, and when he finally got the money to go get it, the jeweler was stuck in a mall that was undergoing construction. That shop was being shut down five days later since they weren't getting enough business in the mall anymore. They took over a thousand dollars off the price of the ring when my dad asked if there were any discounts going on.

Well, I got my car, and it's really awesome. There was a leak in the fuel hose, so we called the dealer and he had a new one installed at no cost to us. He ended up selling my brother a car a few days later, hah, but mine is much better and we paid about the same price. I love eBay.

Ok, it was senior year of highschool. One of the guys (a girl in this case) told me about how both Blind Gaurdian and Gamma Ray were going to play at Atlanta at a metal festival. I've done everything from share some jack with ex members of this and that, to helping the lead singer fix his guitar for another band.

And all becuase of ebay.

Wow this brings back memories... I had 4 packs of these at one point (it was really cheap, they came with this and the 4 player link cable, and I think another game). I think I threw them away when I had to move cross country :(

Yeah, there were a few at newegg that were just a bit too showy. I guess this one is still somewhat showy with the blue lights running down the front, but for the price, its a pretty good deal.

... Yeah, i don't know what that means. Maybe. Beatmania but with hm... GB-quality instruments. Charming to some, hateful to others. Daigasso takes a lot to really get into, but it's really rewarding to pull off some of the harder instruments on the really hard songs. I think Shidoshi might have been right when he said it's more rewarding if you play musical instruments yourself. I wish i had the time and interest to get into composition mode, or whatever it's called.

Reason I ask if it was coming out was because reading from other online reviews, they said it might be planned for UK/US release? 1-3 sites said that so I didnt know if it was accurate or not. Plus both have some trade value incase I dont like it and want something I want.

It's been TBA for quite a while, so i'm not expecting it. IGN's even dropped it from TEH LIST and they have stuff like Marvelous Interactive Real-time Strategy Project (TBA 2006) and Deep Fried Project [untitled] published by TBA. It's a good game, and i'd be really really happy if it had another release. Just don't count on it.

i'd buy it again.

actually they were stashed away but by someone else. I stole the 360 controller from some kids stash and I found the PSP last night hidden. I was pissed I found it at 1st because those should have been sold 2 months ago. Oh well, too bad for the bitch that hid it and good for me. Suckers.

I still have a few 360 games, 1 DS and 1 PSP game hidden for myself yet. I'll pick those up next week for 80% off.

The Platinum Hits case for SA looks really nice. I just saw it for the first time today at Best Buy, where I got some blank tapes and a free CD. Then I went to EB and halfway paid for MGS: Subsistence LE, and then bought Bomberman 64 for $6. In hindsight, I should have bought Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for $13, but they had a few copies of it, so I'll do that next weekend.

I got the GBA Movie Player and a 512GB Card. It is pretty cool, it lets me play NES roms on my DS as well as Mp3s and video files. I can also store pictures on it. Pretty nifty.

It varies from character to character and move to move. I've beaten the game with the yakuza guy and Aya, and nearly all matches were KOs, though they seem to be more power characters. You can also set the time for infinite if you want. My biggest issue is I can't seem to do the throws consistently. Don't know why either.

Exactly. I'm playing through on Veteran. I had to re-start a level (Tunisha) because during the part at the end in which you man the AA Guns, I didn't shoot the snipers before the game saved. Every time I started up, I had about 10 seconds to get to the AA gun and shoot down the first plane....while 3 crack-shot snipers picked me off. So even if I DID manage to get the plane down, my teammates weren't fast enough to kill them before they killed me while I was sitting on the gun.

That was the most frustrating thing EVER. ARGH.

I'm in the American levels now. Aside from one other spot like that, the game is one of the best I've ever played. I get quite a sense of satisfaction from this game.

That was the most frustrating thing EVER. ARGH.

I'm in the American levels now. Aside from one other spot like that, the game is one of the best I've ever played. I get quite a sense of satisfaction from this game.

I thought I got stuck in a situation like that. Can't remember exactly what level it was, one of the Brit or US, but I was finaly able to man up and get past it. Definately one of the best games I have ever played. I'm now playing back through on regular to just have fun kicking some nazi ass.

Sin City Uncut (the version that should have been on dvd from the start)
50" Samsung DLP HDTV (same one that Gabe from PA got recently actually)
TV Stand for the TV
Yamaha A/V reciever

Racked up some serious reward points at BB, gonna use the resulting coupons for a 360.

I'll probably throw up some pics in the "gaming setup" thread tomorrow. And fyi, anyone looking at HDTV's, seriously consider a DLP set. A lot better looking than the LCDs I saw and a shit load cheaper than Plasma. This samsung is fucking INTENSE.

Just picked up Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for $8 at EB. I was surprised they had it last week for $13, and more surprised that they had it this week for $5 less. That was a nice little bonus.

Picked up two Lost in Blues. One sealed and one used. My girl is playing the used while we're holding off to sell the sealed one. We checked GameStops online store locator and they only listed used. So I decided to cave in to go to LI so she would stop bugging me. When we got there, we saw both and picked them up.

Just when you think taking her to LI to get the game she would stop bugging me. Now that she has the game, she bugs me to help her..I never win

Also traded a used Daigasso for a sealed Jump Superstars. And got a sealed Daigasso to replace the traded used one..haha

I like it quite a bit so far, though I do wish that there was an alternate method for choosing weapons. Using L to shoot makes it easier, but it would still have been nice to have the option to play the game two handed. Still playable using this method, but I do feel that using the touch screen to choose weapons isn't needed.

Damn, I should have ordered it from Yesasia. Bought it at JNL here on Elizabeth St/Chinatown NYC for $59. I figured it is about the same if I ordered it from NCSX w/tax+shipping.

Maybe I will get Ouedan or whatever that rhythm game is called from them.

Kingoffighters, you try St. Mark's Games down by St. Mark's and 2nd? They'd probably have it for $50. Not that you wouldn't be paying $59 with subway+tax... I'm usually down that way anyway if i'm in the city.
