I've been asleep at the switch. This game looks great in the reviews. A Mario-esque platformer. Anybody played it?

ok. I'm as big a retro gaming fan as the next guy. I love playing great games that look like this that were released in 1994. However, nothing that looks like that big of a steaming pile should be on a release calendar in 2006. If Nintendo delayed development of something that matters by one nanosecond to produce that trash, they've officially lost all touch with reality.
I've seen a few movies of the gameplay and I'm not all that impressed either.Quote:

Hopefully I'll be wrong and if I get to try this game out before buying it I'll be amazed, but I am not impressed so far.
Let me help. Take one of these...

The graphics don't look much different from, say, the countless Megaman games released over the years on powerful consoles.Quote:

I can't argue with that. I'm not a Mega Man fan though, so I'm not inclined to defend it. Mega Man is Capcom's worst "major" property by far.
It doesn't look worse than most of the GBA games out there... I don't see the problem. GBA's just showing its age.
To me, if you're going to make GBA games in 2006, they better look like Gunstar Heroes.
I play games for gameplay, not how they look. If they look really good too, that's just the bonus plan.
