I have a man crush on David Wright. The kid can do it all! Dontrelle Willis still kills the Mets but a win is a win. Girardi must groan when he has to put some 21 year old rookie in the bottom on the 9th inning but thats the way the Marlins world works. I predict they get zero attendance at home and they will move next season.

Halladay's brain goes ka-blewy, and Jays lose to Tampa Bay.

If only Tampa Bay can get some good pitching. They have a fine lineup with some really good players but their pitching is crapola.

I agree. But I gotta give props where it's due. Kazmir was damn good today.

Phillies finally fucking won. Ryan Madson gave up 3 runs but only 1 earned and the game remained tied at 3-3 for awhile. Bobby Abreu gets a full count then launches a 3 run rocket in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs.

Yeah. And then they lost.

Shea was fucking fantastic today. The whole place has a great vibe now...we know we're out to see a winner. Hasn't felt this way since the 80s.

And there's no doubt that Wright is the #1 fan favorite. In terms of jerseys, and crowd reaction. When he comes up to bat in a big spot, the whole crowd fully expects him to come through, and he does.

Can someone explain to me why they opted to pitch to Wright? I swear, the IBB was so automatic, I was already cheering for Nady. Did they just give up at that point?

The Yankee's have to get some real pitching going or the Sox are gonna walk all over em.

Through 5 games, Wright is #1 in the NL in batting average, and Nady is #2. :D

Not to take anything away from Nady's performance of late, but Wright is still scarier. No doubt.

And walking Wright sets up the force at home, and possible double play.

The only argument against not issuing the intentional pass is a lack of confidence that the pitcher can throw strikes to Nady.
