Okay, so after a couple of bad experiences at Quiznos, I say fuck overpaying for that shit. There's a Subway right around the corner and they have great prices and, as I recall, decent food. I remember liking Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki and their meatball subs a lot. I need to expand my horizons, though. What else is good?
Fuck Subway. Two words: Jersey Mike's.
If I had to eat at Subway (or stay on topic :p ), I'd go with the Spicy Italian. It's definitely not a low fat choice, but it's a good one.
I like the Italian BMT Toasted. Very good.
The Italian BMT, Cold Cut Trio, and Subway Club are always reliable.
The Italian, the Sweet onion teriyaki and the meatball are actually my three favorite sandwiches there.
Their cheesesteaks are awesome IMO.
Double meat that bitch and get ready.

That's right - pizza sub. THey used to have it on the menu, and they'll only give it to you now if you ask for it. It's pepparonni (sp?) with cheese, and meatball sauce. Best sub they have. And you've gotta get it toasted.

However, when I went there more frequently, I was a big fan of the BMT's. I got the pizza subs way back when I was a littlun, but it still sounds really appetizing.
I swear, every single Subway I've ever been to, the employees are freaking mongoloids. I ask for wheat, and they give me honey oat. I ask for a little mayo, and they squeeze a half gallon on that bitch. I ask for pickles and they give me pepperoncinis, and instead of wrappin it up all nice and neat, they smash the sandwich into oblivion. But for some reason I keep going back.
Do you guys remember waaaaay back in the day, when Pizza Hut used to have toasted subs? They seriously need to bring that shit back.

there's something wierd about D'angelos. Every sub there tastes like D'angelos, i could tell you blindfolded if my sub came from there. It's like KFC in that you can tell you ate it for the following 2 hours too. Plus it makes me shit. I'd take subway anyday, even though they don't have a griddle.Quote:

On my block, there's a D'Angelo's, Subway. Quiznos is two blocks away or so. Of the three, I've been least impressed with D'Angelo's. We used to eat at the food court it's in a lot over the summer, and I had a half decent lobster roll there, but the service there is miserable. When they're busy, there's no way in hell your order's coming out right. I always get that on Italian herbs and cheese bread (hella good) with provolone cheese, toasted. It was genious of Subway to start toasting their bread. Makes a huge difference. Yes, and their deli makes amazing subs. They cut them into quarters they're so big. Same price as Subway and Quiznos too.

I don't know what the hell kind of prices the Quiznos around you guys are charging but here the smalls are around 3-4, the regulars 5-6 and the larges 7-8. Pretty reasonable considering if you want more than like three fucking thin ass slices of meat on your 12" sub at Subway you gotta pay extra to double the meat and it ends up costing around 7 or 8 dollars anyway.
I usually get subs from Sheetz (a gas station chain, think it's only in the mid-Atlantic area). 4.99 for a footlong between 4-12 PM and they use at least twice as much meat as those cheap fuckers at Subway. I splurge on Quiznos every once in awhile though.
Alan, Quiznos is only second to Chic-fil-A as my favorite chain restaurant.
Subway's cheaper, but their sandwiches are smaller and their ingredients are shittier. Their prices are getting stupid for what you get, too. Subway's the McDonalds of sub places.
Schlotsky's Deli is pretty good but they can get a little expensive kind of like Quizno's.They used to have a really kick-ass Philly sandwich on Rye, but they got rid of it for some reason.

Has anyone suggested a place that bakes/toasts their subs besides Quiznos? Because I don't see how any place that doesn't could stand up to them.
