Tekken 5 was the best Tekken, and I like Tekken Tag, so I'd be happy with either a port of Dark Resurrection or a new entry to Tekken Tag. I think Tekken is a kind of game that would actually work very well on the PSP, too.
If it's another Ridge Racers-like compilation or a port of the original TTT, however, that would suck.
Finding people to play Tekken 5 is infinitely easier than finding people to play VF4. That's what it really comes down to. Even if I wanted to play VF, the playerbase for that game makes it nearly impossible (that and they're all nuts... but that's another subject :x ).Quote:

Dark Resurrection + Kuni FTW! Lately it's just been TTT and the offshoot I created in soulcalibur III, but to have her back and completely seperate from Yoshi would be the best I could ask for.

Because for those of us with evolved frontal lobes, it's not a question of either/or. Many of us play both. The fact is, Tekken is just far more accessible, and more enjoyable at *all* levels. VF4 Evo really opens up the most at its deepest, where many people aren't willing to do that much homework to gain that reward, and even then, most of us prefer games over simulations. Virtua Fighter could benefit a great deal from having more charismatic characters, more variety of characters, and a more reward, aesthetically appealing combo system/movesets. To me, VF didn't show its true promise in that arena, until Goh, the Shaolin Monk, and Vanessa came around, who were just so greatly stand-out from the rest of the crowd. Not to take anything away from the staples, as many of them, like Wolf and Sarah really opened up in 4 and Evo too.Quote:

Pretty much, if you want to make it a VS thing, which it isn't, since in the fighting community, both games can easily coexist, then Tekken must have won, since nobody touches VF in large numbers.
But I'd like you to see what I'm doing here, I'm giving both games credit, as they both deserve them, but I'm also saying that Tekken is my preference in the end. I don't have to disrespect VF Evo to get my point across. It's not a worse game, just for me, and the majority of people, when it comes to pros and cons, it seems that Tekken has quite a bit more to offer to the average gamer than VFEvo does.

99% of people that I've talked to who say that Tekken sucks have no idea how to play the game, even though they assure me "I've played tons of Tekken, been playing since the first game, and nobody can beat me!".
Which pretty much translates to them flailing on the buttons wildly, or maybe knowing a couple of 10 hit combos (lols unbeatable!).
I used to be quite a bit of a fighting game snob, but always loved playing the Tekken games in the arcade at a high competitive level.
VF seems like a great series, but I've ran into one arcade in my entire life that actually had a decent community of players... and that was back around VF2, and the arcade was over an hour from my house. :/
