Don't see how changing the sound or the controller would circumvent copyright.

Plus any publisher would probably welcome the exposure.

One episode of the Comic Party anime did this. It's especially strange coming from an anime.

I remember a commerical that showed someone holding a GBC with Tetris in it, but the music playing was from Super Mario Bros, or something along those lines. Very funny since SMB actually is on GBC.

There is also that McDonalds commerical where Ronald is playing some generic DDR clone with corny music. Half the time, Ronald isn't even stepping on the arrows.
