Can I get a little 360 help?

So, the 360 is launching in a month here and games are starting to be released. I want to buy a few games in advance so I don't have to throw down so much cash on launch day. My plan is to buy 1 game every week before launch to build myself a decent starting library of titles. However, I have no idea whats good and bad, and being a lazy prick i thought i'd ask you guys what you think I should buy.

heres how it breaks down:

The console launches in 5 weeks.

Games available up until then:


week 1:

Only Perfect Dark Zero, so ignore this.


week 2:

Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Madden NFL 06
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06
NBA Live 06
Ridge Racer 6
Peter Jackson's King Kong


week 3:

Quake 4
Call of Duty 2
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Kameo: Elements of Power
Project Gotham Racing 3
Dead or Alive 4
Full Auto


week 4:

Fight Night Round 3
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter


week 5:

I'll be getting Oblivion this week.


So, if you were in my position, and were gonna buy 1 game a week, which would you pick? Remember, for each week you can choose games from older weeks lists aswell. I'd like a variety of games too, so lets try and keep it down to 1 or 2 from each genre.

If it were me, over four weeks:

-PGR3
-Call of Duty 2
-PD Zero
-Ghost Recon

I wouldn't buy 4 games. I'd get PGR 3, maybe DoA4, then grab Oblivion and call it a day. Oblivion's going to take all your time anyway.

Probably, but I'd like some choice in what to play incase friends come over or Oblivion turns out shitty or something.

I'd pick up DoA 4 then. I played this at a friends the other day and was surprised by how much fun me and a group of people had messing around with this.

Dude, I'm trying my hardest to lower my expectations.

I stayed up playing morrowind until 6am last night out of excitement for Oblivion.

I would pick up Ridge Racer 6, Condemned, Dead or Alive 4, Ghost Recon, and Oblivion. Call of Duty 2 is also good.

DOA4.

I would pick up Kameo Elements of Power, Project Gotham Racing 3, and Dead or Alive 4. Honestly though, I think Kameo is the best game on the system so far. Everything else has been pretty much blah.

Ghost Recon, its high praise in previews from EVERYONE.
Oblivion....of course
DOA 4, but dont expect a lasting 1 player game.


Those are all MUST buys in my opinion.
