I just can't get over the lack of a 2 player mode in this game. It's inexcuseable.

Indeed. It reminds me of those 32-bit days, or very early PS2/Xbox, where a game would come out and we would all be like, this would be so cool online. But of course online didn't exist so we ended up with some split screen or some shit.
