Exactly. Dead Rising captures this feeling perfectly. The slow, shuffling dumbness is what defines a zombie as a monster. While I like the remake of Dawn of the Dead a lot, I still don't dig fast zombies.Quote:

As for this game, it seems to be the summation of what everyone has wanted since this zombie nerd cultural boom occurred sometime a few years ago and looks like it may have done it right. I called my 360 owning friend today and made him download this, I will likely play it tomorrow.
I'm not sure how I feel about Dead Rising. I want to like it, but for being a fan of zombie stuff, it's just not grabbing me.
Is there a combo system that let's you string hits from zombie to zombie? Not like those POS Dynasty Warriors games, but more like a regular fighter. With the way the zombies get packed together in places, it would have made the game a lot more interesting, game play wise.
I didn't play the demo more than a few times, it just didn't interest me enough. Maybe I missed something from the demo, but I hope the full game has more to it. I'll probably still get it though, just not right away.
Now Sega needs to make a Zombie Revenge sequel and fix the shitty controls that ZR had.
Bleh. Im just sick of these slow-ass lumbering dorks all over the place. It's been done. Time to move on. Make them fast, make them not zombies (granados, though they acted pretty much like zombies most of the time, were much better), just time to do something different. This game is cool because it had to be done with the power of 360. Now that it has been done, though, time to mix it up. That's all I'm saying. I don't think it's unreasonable.Quote:

This is not a game about combos. I'd almost go so far as to say it's not a game about gameplay. Look at Frank. He's not a pretty boy like Dante or Leon. He's an ugly mug with more confidence than he deserves, stuck in a hellish situation, and coping the best that he can. There's a reason the 'light saber' is a plastic toy that does no damage. If Frank started busting out Sweet combos, I'd never touch this game. The fact that instead he'll be busting out the wrestling moves or ripping out guts with his bare hands is what this is all about. A real man's game. Keep your half-demon fairies with their compensation swords out of this shit, please. :icepick:
