Dead Rising

Please stop fucking with the Dead Rising thread. Also, I'm making my wife go to Fry's at noon today and buy DR for me. Order is restored.

I'm buying it after work today. I decided to give it a go.

I really hate and don't understand this sort of thing either. Like with Soul Calibur II, if somebody else wanted to start their own game, go through Story Mode from the beginning, and unlock everything themselves, they can't -- not without buying a second memory card.

I was considering this game, but now I think I'm fine waiting for a $20-30 price drop.

Isn't that what the extra profiles are for?

I played SCII on GameCube (don't know anything about the other versions). There were no profiles. It auto-loaded when you booted the game.

[edit]: ah, you mean the 360 profiles. Interesting. I haven't had my 360 for long enough to mess with those. Does it partition a whole different save file section for each profile on the hard drive? That would make sense. Why wouldn't gamespot know this, though?

Well I know they have separate achievements and such. When I was accidentally signed on a different profile than my own, none of my call of duty saves were visible so I would assume that it keeps separate save information as well.
